I just hope that after a couple games of umpires confusing balls and strikes and controversial calls on the basepaths...that Game 7 can be played without umpire drama. I just want to see these two teams duke it out once and for all (with the Nats winning, obviously) and no ****ing whining about blown calls or interpretation of rules, etc.

Or DC and the ES Tailgate. Can't ask for more than Strasburg on the bump tonight. Might be making a case for himself as a Hall of Famer right before our eyes if he throws a gem. As it stands he's got an outside shot based on his career numbers but if you're a postseason legend, people do vote for that. I'm thrilled to watch him pitch. Out of all the pitchers in the game today, he might be my favorite to watch. He's lost a tick on his fastball but it's still plenty effective and his curve and changeup are dastardly. He is a true maestro and I think he comes up huge tonight.

Dolemite Is My Name. Didn't realize how much I missed Eddie Murphy until now. This is great. A for me. It's on Netflix and a fun movie with a lot of hilarious parts and some touching moments, too.

On most nights, 9 hits get you more than one run. 0-10 with RISP. That won't last moving forward, but Rendon, for example, has to get his **** together. One pitch outs are ridiculous. Astros just too good not to get at least one game this series. Can't wait to watch tomorrow night.

I said that Sanchez is a 5 inning guy but was quickly reminded that he threw a no-hitter through 7 last time out. Let's not be rational here.

I don't know, guys. Trump takes office, Caps win, Mystics win, Nats could very well win....worth it?

That's nice. But his opponents OPS the first time through the order was .587 in 2019. 2nd time it was .702. 3rd time it was .923. But cool, no hitter through 7 innings last time out, that must be a predictor of what he'll do next time out.

Up 2-0 headed back to DC is the best situation they could have asked for, especially after last night. The Astros cracked the door open with Bregman's error and the Nationals kicked it in and jumped all over the opportunity. That's what a good team does. The best thing about the upcoming game is that Grienke is starting and he's been bad to terrible in the postseason. I am assuming the Nats go with Sanchez who has been great this postseason but is only good enough to get through a batting order twice. That's ok if he can be efficient with his pitches. The Nationals have played flawless baseball, gotten great pitching and jumped on the Astros mistakes. Couldn't ask for anything better from them right now and I think the Astros are a bit dazed and primed for a knockout blow.

I haven't liked what I've seen from Suero at all.

Yep. I think the Nats can win this Series if Fernando Rodney (is he on the WS roster?) doesn't make an appearance. If Rodney is getting into games, it's most likely not a good sign.

Nats have to feel amazing taking game 1 and beating Cole who's been unbeatable since May. That's a huge, huge confidence builder. They didn't back down an inch after the Astros got to Scherzer in the first. Scherzer didn't have his best stuff last night but the way he grinded and limited damage was awesome. Obviously games where guys strike out 10 or 12 guys and go 7+ innings are great, but give me a performance like he had last night any day of the week. That's true ace **** right there. Made some big pitches when he absolutely had to, kept the Astros at bay after the first and ultimately gave his team a chance to win. What I don't like, obviously, is that the Nats had to get to their bullpen last night and probably use a reliever or two more than they wanted to. Strasburg has got to go 6+ tonight. But man, what a game. That was awesome.

Guys that don't have interest in sports are ****ing weird. I'm not saying you gotta watch them, but if you don't watch AND don't play...something ain't right.
