  1. Kobe wanted to be Jordan so bad. He became a caricature of Jordan. A cartoonish version of the Jordan character. If that makes sense. That's how I see it. So phoney and just weird really. And I'm not hating on dude at all. It's not like LeBron or anything. I got no beef or issues with dude. Just is what it is. How it looks to me.

  2. But if we want to use our cap savings in 2016 to start spending big to acquire either a really expensive elite role player or another AS caliber piece, then I think PF is the way to go. Someone who is a defender or someone who is a shooter.

Agree with all except KD not coming here. I think it's a lock. But if not...

One name I always see thrown our way on other NBA boards around the Internets is Greg Monroe. Maybe it's just me but no thank you. I appreciate his local connections but does absolutely nothing for me.

Another name I've seen mentioned damn near from the start, on here, maybe even from you, is Cousins. If Durant doesn't happen, if there needs to be a backup plan, it's him?

I feel like I'm having a brain fart on someone...

Beats the **** out of the Agent Zero tee I got around here somewhere

Man I need to find that...

  3. Even with Gil being on top of the world for a minute, I never once considered the Wizards to be true contenders to come out of the East. You could see their ceiling.

We have a ways to go with this current squad, but put it this way....IF they can keep their health, I love their chances. There is such a dynamic mix of youth and veterans, on top of it all, some cap flexibility going forward, to make this team one that can potenially become something special in the East for a LONG time.

What I wonder, is bringing KD home our only legitimate shot at a title? What's our ceiling without him? What's a realistic backup plan? The ceiling?

I honestly think it's happening but who the **** knows. So just thinking a lot of where we're heading with this, with AND without him. Where we're going to be three, four years from now

  4. Beal tha gawd

    "he's only 21 folks!" *Jay Z voice*

Get this from my #1 squad, the member-of-the-family team

Spurs running over the Knicks with all of their starters getting the night off except Danny Green. Almost sad David Stern isn't around to whine about it.

And get this from my #2 team, the comedy squad.

    Perfect night.

  5. Of course I miss the last play.

Went back to rewind it and accidentally changed the channel. I'm pissed the hell off right now.

Tough win though. So it's all good.

I really want to punch something right now

Man you got to set up the DVR to tape all things Wizards. Just automatic, whether you'll be watching live or not, just automatic. Saves you for situations like that, plus you never know what random gems you pick up along the way, like my '03 Wiz vs Lakers, MJ vs Kobe final matchup on Lakers TV a few weeks back. To see Jahidi White again...yeah, auto record Wizards. Just do it. (and make sure all games are auto set to record at least an extra hour and a half, just to be safe.)

15-6? this is the best record we've had since like, the 1960s...right?

'68-'69 I believe. Maybe after the third show breaks down Jay Gruden's Wednesday afternoon presser, we might even get some Wiz talk on local sports talk tomorrow

  6. Some crow?

    Herd w/Colin Cowherd@TheHerd 2h

Hear @ESPN_Colin: John Wall has grown and matured. He has a reservoir of character that I see every night when he plays. #HERD

Cowherd played and lost. He assumed Wall would bust like so many, hedged his bets more and more as it took Wall a bit to grow and become legit and now Cowherd was obviously wrong and has to eat ****. **** him.

  7. Actually, there was a clear plan.

A plan which Ted laid out and has followed.

    Yup.

And from tbe moment we won the Wall lottery I, and others, said we need to follow the Bad Boy Pistons blueprint as far as the talent and makeup of the team. They were the last team to win a title with a PG as the premier player on the team. And it's pretty remarkable how well we've done just that. Surround Wall with shooters and tough, high energy bigs. That's exactly what they've done.

Wall is Zeke, Beal is Joe Dumars. Gortat, Nene, Humphries and the bunch are Lambier, Rodman, Mahorn and Co. And Paul Pierce is Adrian Dantly--to be replaced by Kevin Durant's Mark Aguirre in 2 years (obviously better than Aguirre but you get the point).

And, as the cherry on top, they aren't complete assholes like those Pistons were (esp Wall vs Isiah Thomas)

  8. I might have hated on him more than any of u on this board... So, I'm certainly not advocating for him. I'm just stating facts: la is s place to play and Kobe can play for another 3 years at this level if he wanted to.

LA is defintely a place to play...that's why people are signing with the Clippers (talking to my dad last week about the Wiz, told him the Clippers are arguably the best team in the West and the Bullets/Wizards are arguably the best team in the East: Hell has officially frozen over.)

Let me ask you, this "level" Kobe is playing at, good enough to be the #1 on a LEGIT contender?
