  1. Really interested to see how we play tonight. A let down feels inevitable after the emotions of last night's game. If we look good tonight, its a bigger statement than beating Cleveland.

Completely agree. Been thinking about that all day. A legit contender builds off of last night and kicks ass tonight. A young team who isn't there yet gets complacent after last night's big win and lays am egg tonight. Tonight will tell us a lot. Really looking forward to it.

  2. Honestly, how many wizard plates would they sell? Maaaaaybe a couple hundred? I bet more people would buy Lakers, Bulls, or Knicks.

How many people are buying a Virginia ECU plate? How many are getting a "War of 1812" plate? How many are getting a "Friends of Coal" plate? How many are getting a "Class J No. 611 Steam Locomotv" plate? I can go on and on with this...

And would there be that many more with Caps or even Nats plates if they did have a Bullets/Wizards plate?

  3. You all wanna hear some bull****? At the DMV here in VA this morning (finally replacing the Colorado tags on my car) and was looking at the various plates available. Got the Caps, eh not my thing. Got the Redskins, ugh no thanks. Got the Nats, Hmmm maybe. I really want a Wizards plate though...AND THEY DON'T ****ING HAVE ONE. The only team that doesn't have one. We really need to do something about that.

They got a ****ing ECU plate but they don't have a Wizards plate. If I get the process started to get one added, will you all help me get it going? Or if we're starting from scratch on this, maybe work on an old school Washington Bullets plate?

  4. Speaking of Bubble, his Hornets went into the 4th up 15 on the magic and gave up 41 in the final quarter and lost.

There's been a lot of posters who have been permabanned over the years that i genuinely miss(ed) (including the unquestioned "King of the Tailgate Empire", his majesty, MSF) but I don't think I'd ever get over a Bubble Screen permaban. Hell I'd even consider starting an online petition to present to the ES Mods to get him reinstated. He was such one of the things that made this forum awesome. And honestly, with Irving, with his top-tier Hornets, with the awesome foundation of success Braves, a permaban would be too easy for him (which is why it also wouldn't shock me if it wasn't a permaban, he was reinstated weeks ago and he's just too much of a **** to come back and own it. Shame is something a lot of folks can't get over. They're all pussies of course.

  5. Yeah, this team is easy to root for. Who on this team does anyone really hate and why? Wall and Beal are cool as can be. Gortat is rocking a giant with a mohawk, and yet still comes off as a friendly guy. Porter is the kid everyone loves to root for, the text book team player. Seraphin sounds like what I like to imagine the giants from Jack and the beanstock would sound if they were real and while he may play badly, he never stops trying.

The team passes the ball plays defense and lacks a real super star. This is the kind of team fans of the game, love.

I honestly think Wall and Beal are both on the verge of real suoerstardom but we shall see.

And I got to be honest, the Mavs game, I started to write out a post about Garrett Temple has officially become the first player I hate on this team. I stopped myself though. He's a real good guy, a good human being, the type of guy that championship benches are made up with and he's been forced into a position he shouldn't be in. That's not his fault. And apparently he's battling injuries too. So yeah, it was ****ed for me to start to even go there with him: hate. So na, there isn't a single player on the team that even comes close to getting legitimate hate. It's always super-duper awesome when your can say that about your team.

  6. Hell no Chicago is not better than us. Rose isn't at 75%. He won't even play 75% of their games. And Pau Gasol does NOT make up the substantial gap between them and us from last season. A gap that's grown wider, not smaller, because we've gotten better. A lot better than they got. Last time we played them, we beat their asses in 5 games. Until that changes, we're better than them.

This, this annnnnd this. We completely dominated them in the playoffs last year. We won in 5 games and it wasn't even that close. Did they improve? Probably. Did we improve? Yes. Is a 34-year-old Pau Gasol going to put them over the top on us? Really? Is John Wall going to have issues with a soft and brittle 75%-of-his-former-self DRose? Really? No, the Bulls aren't better than us. If it's going to take us making them our **** in the postseason again for you to see that JoeW, so be it.

  7. And shout out to Whitman for letting Seriphan get that burn in the second quarter.

    *fourth quarter too

I know he gets a lot of hate, and deservedly so for the most part, but I think Wittman has been excellent this year at riding the hot hand. That's especially important when you have a team as deep as this one.

"Can Washington get on the level of Chicago?" ESPN announcer

Um....they do realize that we beat them in the playoffs, right?

Beat me to it. Another thing I learned from ESPN tonight: it's the best start for the Wizards in 40 years, since the '74-'75 season...when Paul Pierce was 3 years old

  8. Why aren't you watching CSN?

I'm watching on ESPN too. I think I mentioned it last time we were on national tv, I always like to watch that broadcast so I can get a taste of what the rest of the country thinks of us, a different look and take on our team.

And Steve is right. For the entire first quarter is was basically non-stop Cavs circlejerk. If I was blind and you told me it was the Cleveland broadcast, I wouldn't have thought twice about it.

But it's funny, as the game has gone on, as we've continued to play well, be in control and expose these clowns, dude has had no choice but to stfu about Cleveland and start taking us up. That's made it worth it

  9. So ****ing proud of our guys. Now let's close this out, finally fully expose the Cavs as the frauds they are and fully put the world on notice that we're the real deal.

Seraphin is an entirely new player offensively. He's got a go to post move (move left, spin right hook) and he's trying to jam on people through contact, something he never did.

    Get'm Kevin.

Lol, I think someone's got a bit of a mancrush brewing

  10. Granted Wiggins hasn't been that great thus far

But every Cavs game i watch, I can't help but think Love looks like a JAG. I always think aloud 'Who the hell is that white dude?...Oh right that's K Love" lol

    Every game without fail

Wiggins is a great athlete with great potential to be a basketball player. It's gonna take him some time. But yeah, who knows. (Read an article about Johnny Flynn the other day (remember him?), I pray to God, for Wiggins sake, that every single person who had anything to do with those Wolves team aren't even still in the time zone. Talk about a trainwreck. Wow.)

But yeah, like I've said, I've watched three Cavs games and I swear I don't even remember Love playing. I'm trying to think why he would stay there. I'm sure he wants to win but, unlike Bosh, he strikes me as the type who couldn't stand to be the forgotten man, championship or not.

  11. Lot of folks speculating that it's a becoming a very real possibility that Kevin Love bounces this offseason. If he does, how ****ing epic, epically bad, will that trade go down in history? And if Wiggins lives up to the hype and has a HOF career? Man. At some point Cleveland needs to accept that God hates them, right? I mean damn, they've been warned repeatedly when their river caught fire, repeatedly. That's some biblical/Moses/Egypt **** there.

  12. Are y'all really combining Chris Paul with Russell Westbrook? Or y'all saying he plays the position like Chris? Geez if Chris Paul had westbrooks athleticism sheesh probably be best point of all time

Talking style of play (classic PG, like Paul) and top notch athleticism.

I actually thought of Westbrook Pope. Was trying to think of someone a bit older though that he would definitely know. The other name that's come to mind is Stevie Franchise.

Francis was on another level though. I don't think Wall is THAT explosive. That's not, in the least, a knock on Wall. At all. It says more about Francis, how epic his athleticism was--the guard version of VC--than it says about reigning-Slam-Dunk-Champ Wall.
