  1. Regardless of the knee injury, I've never been that high on Parker. Don't think he was a future great. Too flawed. I think his best case was as a poor man's Melo.

Joel Embiid getting hurt was the more depressing injury for me.

True. But there's still a chance he could've been a great. And we were just potentially robbed of witnessing that.

Btw, what exactly is Embid's injury? How lasting? It happened well before the draft right? Still went 3rd overall so how serious is it? Definitely not microfracture level of serious right?

  2. Btw, are the gifs I post on here really, really choppy for anyone else? ****ing kills me. Trying to figure out if it's the link/source, my formatting or just my delicate little **** Samsung/AT&T/Android phone (**** you Samsung, you really, really suck AT&T, Google...Google, I'll always love you baby.)

  3. **** man....****

Jabari Parker has sprained left knee, according to Bucks, and will not return. Stay tuned.

Calling it a sprain but as us Wiz and Skins fans know, they always call it a sprain at first (and sprain actually, technically IS a tear, so on, so forth)

But ****, this looks really, really bad

    FemalePastEyas.gif

Duck Fuke and all but man, this one is really bugging me for some reason. In my gut, like...**** man. That really, really sucks

Edit: thinking about it, it's because I know VERY well just how devastating and career killing a knee injury can be. George and Randle were much more gruesome but those were clean breaks; put a cast on that **** and chill for a minute. Serious knee injuries though? In the NBA? Agent Zero says holler.

So yeah, I love basketball and the NBA, love seeing small market teams (in any sport) be successful and hit it big. And we potentially just got robbed on both fronts: losing a lot of the potential of a future great (and entertaining) superstar and the dreadful, bottom feeding NBA team from Wis****ingconsin, just lost their biggest and best hope since Ray Allen bounced a decade ago. That just really sucks.

  4. Man, I hope Cole wasn't hurt too bad :(

I really don't understand how parents can expose their sweet, innocent, beautiful little children to that violence porn. Then we wonder why they grow up to be violent, disrespecting, wife beating, alcoholic, tweaking murderers. True our murder rate is the lowest it's been since 1960, but this is also the least popular the WWE has been since Wrestlemania I. Coincidence? I think not. You sick ****s.

RIP Michael Cole. You deserved better in life.

  5. Atlanta just refuses to help us out and lose.

What's their deal anyway? They legit? Haven't seen them all year. ****, not even sure the last YEAR I saw them. Has Horford gotten THAT much better? Where's he rank amongst league centers now? Is Paul Millsap THAT good? Is Korver? Is Buldenholzer beating it up as coach? Was Danny Ferry able to get all the Africans off the team before he went on vacation?

  6. Skin'emAlive is right. Ariza is a good dude. No need to tear him down to hype Wall.

All you got to do is link someone to Rasual Butler's wiki and basketball-reference pages. The man is 35 years old, was the goddamn D League "Impact Player of the Year" (whatever the **** that is) for the Tulsa 66ers (whatever the **** a 66er is) two years ago, is the 15th man on the team, made the team a week before the season started and he's shooting the 3 150 points above his career average (.515 vs .365). The John Wall Effect.

Just put that **** on his plaque in Springfield now

  7. Ran that offense when I was like 9 or 10. Dad was the coach. We had the absolute best big man in the league (former Skin Will Montgomery was in the league and he couldn't hang), guaranteed to get every single rebound and alter any shot within 5 feet (we were little kids, nobody was launching 3's). So we just ran a zone with him anchoring the middle and someone always out running. They couldn't hang.

Be cool to see an NBA team running my 4th grade offense. I mean basketball is basketball right? What could go wrong?

(kinda feel for Kings fans. Man what a roller coaster fandom. The high of CWebb and Co battling the Lakers, nearly reaching the top, the low of the Maloof's going full douche and looking like you're going to lose your team, to the high of some dude flying in last minute, buying them and keeping them in Sactown to now the low of that same hero owner going full douche, firing the much respected coach because he couldn't make Royce White, Josh Smith and 4 on 5 basketball work.)

  8. I support booing McGee and Young. Although Young seems like the type that would enjoy boos.

Those two and Blatche are the only former Wizards I would boo. I wouldn't boo Big Balls Crawford, Singleton, Booker, Vesely, Alonzo Gee, Shelvin Mack, or Shard. Definitely wouldn't boo Haywood or Caron. Come to think of it, is that the entire list (aside from Vesely) of former Wizards still active in the NBA?

Pretty sure Crawford is in China playing with Baltche. Can't recall seeing Mack or Singleton recently.

Whites are 63% of the population. Not sure what you're referring to.

My bad. It's new births. Minority births now outnumber white births

    Sorry for the FoxNews link

  9. LOL this part of this WaPo article about last night's game made me laugh: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wizards-insider/wp/2014/12/14/wizards-understand-theyre-now-a-target-for-lower-teams/

I like Booker, I enjoyed his time here and truly wish him well. The boos were just about the sandwich. The only former player we boo is Blatche. McGee and Young catch some of that too but not too much.

Yeah I haven't seen a single bad thing said about Booker, ever, by anyone (teammates, coaching, front office, fans, etc). And idk, we just played Denver and the Lakers and Swaggy and Pierre were defintely catching serious **** from the crowd. Esp McGee's dumbass

  10. To Wilbon's point, it's going to take time to get a strong and consistent fan presence at the Verizon Center. Very few teams in the league have really fervent home support. San Antonio has been good forever and they're the only game in town. The second part is true for OKC and Portland too. And it would be true for Sacramento if their crowds were still good. Golden State fans are an anomaly, they're just crazy.

I mean damn, we just got legit good for the first time in forever. And DC is a transient city. Give it some time.

Yeah I actually agree with Wilbon. **** the Skins disaster, support the Wiz (and Nats). Coming from Wilbon though, it's like another parent correcting my kid. Don't ****ing talk to my child like that. And then for him to do it on Kornheiser's show, like criticizing my parenting to someone who just did ten years for child abuse.

Btw, whites are less than 50% of the population now. Just officially passed that a few years ago.

Agree with you on the NBA staying the course. I really think the NFL is slowly but surely hitting a major decline. NBA is by far the most primed to reap the rewards from that.

  11. Just giving this some more thought, the success of the Nats and Wiz is an utter disaster for Dan Snyder. Before he was either the only show in town or the least disastrous. Now we have successful organizations to closely compare and contrast to the Skins and it's just disgusting. Like seriously, ugh. It's just been building and building, one thing after another and seeing what winners look like and how they operate is just like the final nail in the coffin. Think about that...you suck so much you make folks yearn for Ernie Grunfeld.

  12. this

    Yup. That.

    And this...

Please, like everyone and their mother didn't bash the Wizards when they were at their worst. When the Wizards sucked, the only real conversation you got about the team was from the dozen self flagellating die hard fans the organization had left. Outside of that small community, it was pure snark and derision. And the team deserved it. The die-hards understood why everyone made fun of the team. Including DC residents who hadn't watched a Wizards game in years.

The Redskins have earned all the hate they get. The organization sucks. The ownership is a disaster. They're one of the worst franchises in Pro-Sports. I don't even want to hear about them any more. They're not worth following. Supporting them just enabling the current ownership, which I will not do. If anything I welcome the derision, I hope Snyder gets shamed out of town.

    Curse O' Les Boulez
