  1. He bailed himself out by thinking quick on his feet and making a good play?...That's a unique take lol...that sounds like it's from the Buddy Ryan "All he does is catch touchdowns" school of logic.
  2. There was even commentary on the blitzes Wentz faced in real time (at least on Twitter). yeah, but see, I'm one of those guys who feels insulted when he's corrected, and even when I see someone else corrected lol... (*the above is based on real events)
  3. Are you one of those guys who feels insulted when being corrected...to the point that you don't like seeing others corrected, either? lol...
  4. I'm saying the last time the team won with Heinicke behind center was 4 weeks ago. It would be no different than saying the last time we saw the offense look potent with Wentz was 14 weeks ago. It indicates how much time has passed since we've witnessed something.
  5. Was it 4 weeks ago since the last win?...You're welcome lol... My concern wasn't about if they lose...it was about not basically just saying "I've made a decision" and maybe following up with some sort of generic "I talked with the players, they understand" type of comment. But again, I did not listen to what he said, just reacting off the paraphrasing of his comments.
  6. Or Josh Johnson. Or Kyle Allen. Or Case Keenum. Or Colt McCoy. Or an even older Alex Smith. Or Ryan Fitzpatrick. Wentz should easily be the best off-the-bench QB we've had in a looooong time. Emphasis on "should" lol...
  7. I'm not sure how I feel about Rivera saying he talked to the captains...I'm glad he did, but it starts to skirt the line of not taking full ownership of the decision. I don't--and have never--seen Rivera as the type of coach to place blame elsewhere (that's more a Mike Shanahan characteristic lol). But I'm not sure why it needed to be said. Starts to inch close to "even the captains wanted Heinicke benched" rhetoric. *full disclosure: I did not hear what Rivera said so I may walk this take back after doing so.
  8. I assumed that's why Heinicke's legs allowed him to get out from the pocket and make plays since he had better vision when he did...no idea if it was true lol, but that was my assumption.
  9. It's also about still throwing with velocity and timing when the mechanics aren't there...RG3 could flip a laser 20 yards downfield while backpeddling and throwing off the wrong foot or across his body while jumping in the air.
  10. To make the playoffs--and have any chance of advancing once there--the offense had to perform better and become more potent. It started sliding backwards with Heinicke, and he started turning the ball over more. Commanders with him under center haven't won in the last 4 weeks. Said a month or so ago (no longer guessing pages lol) that we had a better chance of maximizing the offense with Wentz...I didn't think his first 6 games were his ceiling. I'm optimistically hoping that the benching had a positive effect on Wentz and that the offense becomes seriously dangerous now. Still holding on to the Wentz-as-Nick-Foles storyline coming true lol...
  11. If Wentz starts, I hope he (and the entire team) make Irsay look even more like a doofus for what he said about Wentz after trading him. Because this lol:
  12. My 2023 status symbols for men: Don't give a **** what anyone thinks of you That's it.
  13. We've had 5 losing seasons in a row...screw the 10-win mark lol.
