  1. You think it's that bad?...I'm not convinced of that yet. But I'm also not convinced he could ever be worth starting. Hence my question, I guess lol...
  2. Do you feel like Jimmy G would/could do the pylon dive like Heinicke did against the Bucs? I don't really follow JG's games, he just seems too tall to do something like that lol...
  3. No idea...I wondered about that, too. They grade him significantly lower than Allen.
  4. I blame @Voice_of_Reason...his "Cookey went bananas" typo tore a rip in the space-time continuum and merged this thread with 47 other QB threads from alternate universes.
  5. He was trying to show how Heinicke's been playing since the bye last year. Or if you prefer, since starting the 4-game winning streak last year. Either way, it's valid. But his record as regular season starter is still 11-9.
  6. He finished last year 2-3, not 1-4 lol....you really need to look this stuff up first. And the other guy you were responding to said Heinicke was 9-4 over his last 13 starts...you said he was actually 9-5. Which isn't possible.
  7. Cookey lol..."Cookey went bananas" might be my favorite typo sentence of the last 10 years. And gotcha...that would be absolutely true about McLaurin specifically. And probably about most #1 WRs. I seem to remember Santana being used effectively in the red zone, though. I did like Milne's route down on the goal line against the Vikings (I think)...so maybe Turner isn't all that bad as I made him out to be lol.
  8. How can they be 9-5 in his last 13 starts? And actually they're 6-4 over his last ten lol... And actually 10-8 over his last 18....
  9. Gotta design the slant play better, then...I think Gruden had some decent slant plays up his OC sleeve while here. I'm remembering Jordan Reed's game-winner against the Bucs: we had like 9 WRs bunched to the left lol...Reed by himself on the right. Drew damn near all the defenders over to the WRs and left Reed basically one on one. Easy, quick slant pass. I feel like Turner would design plays that have WRs going to the exact same spot in the end zone or would call a fade.
  10. I tend to chalk red zone issues up to the OC/HC, regardless of who the QB is. I remember back in 2009 when the "bingo caller" was brought in by Snyder specifically to call red zone plays because Dan thought Zorn sucked at it. There was almost immediate noticeable improvement, and Jason Campbell had 18 red zone TDs that year.
  11. True, although I don't completely agree with the "quickly" part...not thinking there are too many situations in which responding to a turnover needs to be done quickly, like on the next drive. Maybe late in 4th of a tight game, or to keep the score from getting out of hand against a really good offense. Ok, so I easily thought of two situations off the top of my head lol...and there has to be more. So I take it back, "quickly" is appropriate. (this was actually how I was thinking as I was responding lol...kept coming up with retorts to the points I was originally making--original response looked nothing like what I wrote up above)
  12. Open question to everyone (staying on topic of my last few posts): Do you think the Eagles can overcome mistakes/turnovers/"bad luck" consistently?...Or are they 'built' to be winners as long as they don't have any real adversity? - They had only turned the ball over 3 times before losing to us - They never trailed in the 2nd half of games before losing to us
  13. I was actually thinking this the other day lol...they beat the Falcons and Giants, though, they'll probably find a way to be OK with it for a few more weeks. And I think "Noodle-Armed Assassin" needs to be his nickname lol 👍
  14. That last sentence actually underlines what I was saying about fans thinking the only way to overcome turnovers is for the QB to throw a follow-up TD. Even "putting the team on the QB's back" ends up being only about TDs thrown in most fans' eyes, and not about TD drives. I always felt a QB putting the team on his back meant they needed a lot of scoring, usually quickly...not they need to answer for a turnover.
  15. Put another way: QB throws an INT, then leads a 7-minute drive, makes several critical 3rd down throws...then throws a 20 yard TD on the drive. QB throws an INT, then leads a 7-minute drive, makes several critical 3rd down throws...and the drive is capped off with a 4 yard TD run by the RB. Same exact thing, but won't be seen as such by many fans.
