  1. I think folks misunderstand why Chase rated being drafted by the Redskins a five. Because there's a 50% chance he gets drafted #1 by Cincinnati.😉 He said he is the best player in the draft, so he sees himself going first or second.😊
  2. If drafting Chase is wrong, I don't wanna be right!!! Seriously!!!!!
  3. Not to stray too far off topic, but I 100% agree with your assessment about Mahomes in the Super Bowl!!! The talking heads said he was having a terrible game going into the 4th quarter. I profusely beg to differ. The 49ers' front four were all over him from the first snap. They gave him no time to throw the football. Their positive plays came from him scrambling for yardage/first downs or to buy time to make a successful throw. IMHO, it was one of the greatest performances I've ever seen from a QB and very few QBs, if any, could have won that game under the same exact DL pressure he was under virtually the entire game. Yes, he is a bad bad bad man!!!
  4. I still think the draft will begin a pick #3. If I'm Detroit, I would sit still and let Burrow, Young, or Tua simply fall in my lap. At that point, they have all the leverage to make a trade for multiple picks or take the player that falls to them. If they simply take the player that falls to them, then the draft will start at pick #4.
  5. Now that's a scary thought. The Giants could do that, but I doubt that they would...I hope.😥 On second thought, if the Giants did that now either Burrow or an innumerable amount of very high draft picks fall into the Redskins' lap.
  6. I can definitely see that. In fact, before the Redskins drafted Haskins last year, I had hopes of them being in position to draft Tua this year. Just goes to show no one knows what the future holds. For the record, you quoted KDawg in your reply to me.
  7. I'm right there with you if Tua was 100% healthy. What scares me the most is his inability to stay healthy while playing behind an NFL caliber offensive line with NFL caliber WRs, RBs, and TEs. Somehow Tua consistently dealt with injuries his entire time as a starter. The young man's high IQ and incredible skill set is undeniable but he appears to be as brittle as glass. NFL defenders are much bigger, faster, and stronger than college defenders. As a result, Tua scares me. I can see Chase Young (possibly in a Giants uniform) freight-training past our helpless tackle and ending our brittle QB's season. If the choice is between Young and Tua, I think I would take Young.
  8. Can I sleep on it? Do I take a dominant NFL rookie or take the player who virtually every expert says is a better prospect who hasn't played a down in the NFL? One has spectacularly shown what he can and will do at the NFL level and the other nothing...yet. Bosa? Maybe??????
  9. Hmmm. That list may be the best argument for drafting Chase Young I've seen to date. It appears the Redskins are not as good at EDGE as we may have believed. So we are talking about getting the consensus best player in the draft at what may, in reality, be a position of need.
  10. When the discussion is money, it's almost always in reference to the cap. If there was no cap, then the discussion would be about if a player is worth what they got paid. The cap era has made what every player makes or doesn't make relevant.
  11. If the Redskins hadn't drafted Haskins last year and if Tua was 100% healthy, Tua would probably be my choice over Chase Young.
  12. Would you rather they trade the pick or draft Chase Young? I apologize if you have answered this in a previous post.
  13. I loved Skinsinparadise and skinny21 posts. Your posts are very plausible foods for thought. Personally, I hope they draft Chase Young, because nothing improves a defense more than an elite d-line. I agree they have the potential to be a reincarnation of the 49ers front line if they take Young and that's a frightening thought.
  14. That's only if Chase can consistently catch the football!!! Otherwise, cover corner it is.😉
  15. #79 and #73 for Clemson did a very good job on Chase Young.
  16. My apologies. I was not questioning your or anyone else's level of hope or faith. My bigger point was that I understand people finding the title foolish and presumptuous.
  17. Since after the 1991 season, this team has seemed cursed for whatever reason. So I personally understand your concern and don't make light of it for one second, because no one knows what the future holds. OTOH, some of us are daring to hope and believe that 2020 will be the start of a turnaround to respectability and good fortune. The title is more like a statement of hope or faith. But I get what some are saying about jinxing ourselves.
  18. He followed Bill Belichick's sage command to "Just do your job!" And what was Manusky's job? To ensure that the Redskins secured the #2 pick in the 2020 NFL draft by any means necessary. To you, sir, I say job... well... done!!!!!!!👍
  19. I have never said that the Redskins are victims of a conspiracy. I have said that I understand why fans would think so who believe it. As a fan of the Redskins, I have done my best to push away my own feelings about refs effecting the outcome of games. Like you, I don't want to believe that. I have to admit, however, these last two games have been very difficult for me to believe things were on the up-and-up, because it's absolutely possible for a ref or refs to determine the outcome of a game.
  20. Could you please explain why this is out of the realm of possibility for you? Why are people so above reproach with you on this issue? People have done monstrous things throughout human history, but for some reason, for you, this is a bridge too far. Many of these calls or non-calls have been so blatantly obvious against this team that to not even consider it an option appears as bad a call as many of these awful calls the refs have made or not made (against this team). As far as I'm concerned, a bias acted on by one referee is a conspiracy. A one-person conspiracy is still a conspiracy. Something is not on the up-and-up with this team. It stinks to high heaven.
  21. #ALLCAPS has to be a top-5 hashtag across all sports!!! In addition to the cleverness and wit of the hashtag, the hockey world is "all Caps" since they are the reigning and defending Stanley Cup champions!!!
  22. I've been lying in bed reading post with a full bladder for the last half hour, but you just sent me to the bathroom.
  23. Come on now, we all must show some objectivity here!!! With all due respect, our offense has proven to be top three between the 20-yard lines over the last year and a half! A virtual irresistible force! Take my advice. Stop looking at the score at the end of games. Instead focus on the total yards between the twenties. You'll feel so much better...I promise.
  24. I'm sure you are right, but as a fan of the Redskins, it has felt like a conspiracy on a multitude of occasions in multiple games. This team gets some of the ticky-tackiest calls against them, especially in critical situations.
