    Kiper says Daniels... and he's correct about as often as a broken clock... which means it'll be Maye. Late to the party here, but I don't see how Daniels' physique even makes it through the preseason if he's allowed to take a requisite number of snaps and has edge rushers looking to prove themselves to their respective FO's.

    If it was a later first-round pick... maybe and draft a QB later. When you have a top 2-3 pick, take a QB. If you get it wrong, keep trying until you get it right.

    Bowers isn't falling to 18, either. There's a huge valley between him and pretty much every other TE in the draft.

    He did, yeah. I think it was after my Junior year... ? He was a year younger and Lenny was a year older.

    Interesting... I went to Broad Run with Larry, sandwiched right between him and his older brother Lenny. Knew Lenny better, even if Larry and I had overlapping circles of friends. You wouldn't have called Ashburn "NoVa" at that time, especially since my family moved from the Loehman's Plaza area to Loudoun in early '87...

    If anything, it may show that he won't be approached for a HC gig any time soon, even if the Offense does really well under him. Best hope is people ignore him and the Offense does well.

    If the pick was lower half of the top-10 or even worse, I'd say roll with Sam and draft someone later. A #2 pick... you can't pass up QB at that spot. The team has a ton of picks and a ton of cap. They can afford some FA's in other spots and this "recalibration" will take more than one season, anyway. I don't want to see this team pick this high again for a long, long time.
