  1. I do think Murray was a lot of the problem in Az. I'd be willing to bet most of it, if there was a truly accurate way to quantify it. When the FO puts stipulations regarding things like film review in your contract (until the typical talking heads start to squawk), there is a problem with your work ethic.
  2. I wouldn't say three years would be unexpected for this team. Terrible practice facility. No new stadium... terrible current one. There's a lot of infrastructure going on that can interfere with X's and O's, even subconsciously. Could make attracting talent difficult, even with the promise and hope of better days. Come to think of it... maybe throwing a rookie HC into that isn't such an awesome idear.
  3. The "He was our guy all along" stuff is already starting. Did Diana already cozy up to GMAP quickly enough that his wife will soon be sending out crazy tweets... ?
  4. Jay Gruden. Logan had a pretty pedestrian career. He was around the league on several teams in his tenure... sure... why the local media started to bring him in for his expertise is a bit odd.
  5. When did Logan Paulson and Coach Purple Nurple become beloved football minds... ? I missed that memo. This is a placeholder until the real rebuild starts and this job becomes more attractive.
  6. This means the rebuild begins in-earnest when there are new facilities and a new stadium at the end of the tunnel. This is a rebound HC.
  7. Keim sounds like he's trying to cover his bases here. "I don't know if the Commanders messed up... maybe Seattle did by hiring MacDonald." Weak.
  8. I don't feel it's an overreaction or over-emotional to say that at all. They got caught out in a numbers game with a much higher number of HC openings than you normally see and weren't adequately prepared. Whether Peters just hadn't been around long enough or whatever... the reasons don't matter. If they come out and say "Quinn (or whomever) was the guy we wanted all this time," I find it exceptionally difficult to believe that.
  9. I don't believe they're sitting on their hands or that Johnson was a bad candidate. His actions the last couple days will likely make anyone think twice about interviewing him for a HC gig... I do believe that. I also believe it was a numbers game, the FO got caught out with the sheer number of openings this cycle versus the amount of guys the really wanted and now they'll have to settle for a retread for the next few years until the true franchise rebuild begins... new stadium, new facilities, new everything... this will take a minute. Admitting that doesn't make anyone over-emotional or anything of the sort. That's just how things are playing out. They got caught out by events and didn't have the "proper" failsafes.
  10. It seemed like a third of the league had new HC's this year. The FO got fixated on a couple guys, one of whom stood them up. The others took more "ready made" gigs. No shady facilities, no janky stadium and no true "ground-up" work, which would be difficult for a new HC trying to learn his own gig. Maybe the job just isn't that attractive, when you factor how much actually needs to be done at every single level. The team will have to settle for a retread for a few years and start all over again once the true foundation has been laid.
  11. I've been several times for work. It's about a five-hour flight from Dulles, so I'm assuming the same from BWI. Seattle is beautiful in June and July, gray and ugly the remaining 10 months, even when not raining LOL! Then he has to avoid homeless encampments, hypodermic syringes on the street... you hear that, Mike MacDonald?!?!? Please don't go!!!!! You're our only hope from Quinn....
  12. I'd rather let this team draw up plays on the ground than have Quinn as the HC. Does that sound Petti Labelle? Yes and I couldn't give a **** less. Choked on his one SB appearance, choked less than a month ago in the playoffs.
  13. McConkey and Bowers were the two best players on Georgia's Offense. No one else was even close.
