  1. https://www.profootballrumors.com/2022/04/latest-on-melvin-gordon I would love to have Gordon here for one year. He’s a big back with good hands and can provide insurance in case Antonio gets dinged up again. For one year around $2.5 mil, he’s a bargain.
  2. When I say a mini me Sean Taylor it’s more about his size and his presence all over the field. At ND Hamilton was every where. He even guarded slot receivers. His 40 time at the combine was 4.5 but higher at his pro day maybe due to injury. I agree he may not hit like Sean but his size would help at safety. Comparing him to Derwin James is fine with me because James is pretty awesome. Maybe a better comparison is Ed Reed who ran a 4.57. Reed, James or whoever it would be nice to have a game changer in the secondary. I love Kam but having someone else in the secondary who is versatile would mask some our deficiencies especially at line backer.
  3. Landon has and will always be a liability when it comes to coverage. He did play better in coverage as a hybrid last year compared to safety. I think we need to move on from him regardless of how cheap we can sign him for. Im seeing more and more mocks where Kyle Hamilton may fall to #11. So question if he is there and Drake London/Garrett Wilson are also there, who do you take? I understand having a 6’5 receiver will excite the fans more but can you really pass on a guy who is maybe a Sean Taylor mini me? Yes he ran a 4.7 but that’s adequate at safety especially at strong and you can put Kam back at free. I know we signed Bobby for 2 years but he could play a bit of corner or Hamilton could play the hybrid lb role. I believe Jack likes having interchangeable players, not just one guy one position.
  4. I like Flowers too but I don’t think we will resign him. Yes it is good to have depth but with needing to resign Terry and Payne we can’t afford to give Flowers anything more than just pure backup money and don’t think he will go for that. Im sure we will draft someone late to develop.
  5. Could all the guys worried we won’t extend Terry, please just relax a bit. Sure there could be a snag and it could go haywire but every thing we have heard indicates he is a priority. None of the other wideouts in the same draft have signed any extension, AJ Brown, Dionte Johnson and DK Metcalf. Heck the Titans have just begun discussions w Brown. Everyone maybe just chill a bit. I’m confident it will work out similar to Allen being extended. https://www.profootballrumors.com/2022/03/titans-a-j-brown-begin-extension-talks
  6. No you’re wrong. I live in Philly and all my buddies are Eagles fans. Listening to them and talk radio they are pissed at the lack of activity by Little Howie. They still need a safety. They wanted Ridley before he got suspended. About the biggest news is how Howie gave himself a 3 year contract extension. 🤣🤣🤣
  7. Wagner had his visit to Rams but unsigned. I really think he is looking for his last huge contract and I don’t think we can afford it.
  8. He was mentioned in this thread. I have a good buddy who is a Chargers fan says he’s good high motor but to me he’s a bit undersized for MLB.
  9. Only if he comes cheap but I don’t think he will. He’s the epitome of never living up to it, reminds me of Evan Engram. Has all the tools but inconsistent.
  10. Ryan’s arm has really digressed and he has zero mobility. Sure he can still help a team win but I’ll take Wentz over him everyday including Sunday. Ryan is who he is. At least Wentz can improve especially mentality.
  11. https://www.profootballrumors.com/2022/03/colts-falcons-complete-matt-ryan-trade https://www.profootballrumors.com/2022/03/inside-linebacker-market Looks like Wagner is looking for a big payout but the market isn’t interested. Like I said if we can get him for around $10 mil per we need to get him.
  12. Myles Jack signed for 8mil per and Jordan Hicks got 5mil per. Wagner is head and shoulders above those guys but he’s also 32. I’m sure he is holding out for a huge contract but it’s not happening right now otherwise someone would have signed him. Plus mlb is not as vital than outside edge rushers. What I think he would get and what we should sign for him is different. If we can get him for 3 years (to spread signing bonus) for $30 mil with $20 guaranteed, I think we can make that work w the cap. Cmon Ron and Mayhew make it happen!
  13. Not sure what AB is trying to say by his tweet but the longer free agency goes, the better chance we can land him on a relatively modest deal.
  14. I can see your point but it’s all about when the contract is signed and what teams are willing to do. Mike Williams just signed a $20mil avg contract and Herbert is still on his rookie contract and making less. Wentz signed his contract in 2019 and Terry’s contract is up after this year. If you sell your house today it probably will sell for a lot more next year. Its just the way it is. Hell look at the money the Dodgers are spending the past few years. Bottom line sports isn’t about fairness or reason.
  15. Its not what a player is worth but what the market dictates and what teams are willing to pay. However I think the market will get him around 20-25 mil.
  16. Obviously we want Terry resigned but the Adams signing isn’t comparable. Adams wanted more money than Hopkins which he got. I love Terry but no way you can compare him to DHop or Adams yet. I really think we are gonna wait to see what AJ Brown and Dionte Johnson gets signed before resigning Terry. I think that’s a mistake. Be proactive not reactive. I think Terry gets a contract around 4 years $100mil with maybe $45 guaranteed. It would still allow him to be about 30 when his contract ends. I would prefer a 6-7 year contract with around $22mil avg so he will always be a Redskin
  17. Would love to have him and move Fuller to FS but he would cost too much and we have too much money already in our corners.
  18. I didn’t realize he ran a 4.28. 6’4 200lbs with that speed. Sign me up Only concern is that he played in a 3-4 so not sure how he would do as a pure MIKE. He’s young though and could provide depth.
  19. I agree completely but that’s why it’s the draft right? Wilson Olave London Burks Williams all could be stars or all could be busts. I think Wilson has a shot at being really good but he’s only 6’0. I just want to diversify our receivers with a tallish receiver not named Sims.
  20. My preference is to trade down a bit to hopefully pick up a third or second. I prefer Burks over London. Too many USC receivers become busts in the NFL. Burks is tall, good straight line speed and runs crisp routes. He’s too high at #11 but maybe more in the 20s.
  21. I like the Norwell signing. Sure he may not be as good as he was a few years ago but I’m sure the contract is less than a $10 mil cap hit for this year. I can see why they let Flowers go. He comes across as one of those nasty lineman that every team needs. One that says F it we are badder than you and we are gonna kick your a$$. We need that kind of attitude on our oline.
  22. Im not saying he can’t hit. I have a good buddy who is a Chargers fan and he likes him but thinks he’s replaceable with a rookie. For our MIKE I just prefer someone who is 240+ who won’t get swarmed up.
  23. If true I don’t understand why a player wouldn’t restructure? Usually it involves adding years and turning part of the salary into a signing bonus so it can be spread out. I guess his people thought he can get more than $10 mil from someone else. I highly doubt it.
  24. I don’t get it either but you gotta question the player. He lasted only one year with Phins (who basically gave him away to us) after signing a 3 year deal and then comes back here for one year and is cut. There’s something there we’re not aware of.
