  1.    Time has a funny way of healing certain wounds. I'd want this, too. A lot of good memories from the Hibachi days, and brought us back to relevance, at least for a second. I'm also back on the fence with the letting Ariza walk mindset for the chance to get Durant or whatever. Especially after I saw the idea posted in here of trading Webster to help make the cap space for keeping Gortat and Ariza, moving Porter up the depth chart. An ideal situation would be something like a 3 year contract for Ariza that by the time is over, Porter is ready if not already taken over the starting SF position. This would better then some 4 or 5 year deal based on how well he's playing right now knowing he isn't going to be the player we're looking at 4 or 5 years from now. The idea of this interfering with us getting better doesn't make sense if we're on the fast track for the conference finals or further with what we already have. Different conversation now then before we started the playoffs, results tend to do that. I wouldn't max deal Ariza, but if we can work something out, I would not be against it in hopes of getting Melo here, ya know what I'm saying?
  2. Gonna look at this the same way I looked at the Chicago series. We shouldn't be trying to beat them at their game because they can't beat us in ours. It's not in our best interests to let this get to game 7 in Indiana. Wiz in 6.
  3. We've had enough Spiderman origin stories. It's time to get real and have a movie with Carnage in it.
  4. Mint 17 LTS release date is some time end of may 2014. Just sayin : )
  5. Vogel comes across as stubborn, so Indiana is a different team if he starts to be more flexible with his rotations when it comes to matchups. That's how they won game 6, so going small could prove to be a problem for us as well. Have to attack them, that's the only way to win that series.
  6. Thats escalated quickly. Don't forget we're on the same team, guys...
  7. I already said before the playoffs started that i didnt feel we could win a ring with wittman as hc. got to hand it to him, tho, ive seen him make more adjustments in this series then i think ive seen him do all year. this is the first round, but credit where credit is due. ive totally enjoyed this season and the playoffs so far, really have. Only worry i have now is eliminating the bulls tuesday then having to wait around until the hawks-pacers series is over. thats a good problem, **** the **
  8. It wasn't like Nene was getting his buckets in game 4, but GD that looks a million times more dumb now that he's suspended for game 4. I still feel we're the better team and can pull out this series, even if we lose game 4. But again, GD, dude, seriously? Was it worth it?
  9. I gotta believe Porter was drafted #3 to be the third piece of this big three with Wall and Beal. I would like to find a way to keep Ariza, but i doesn't make sense to have all these reasons to let him walk then bring in another SF like Melo or KD. Whatever money we save from letting Ariza walk needs to be used to keep the players we want to keep and improve our depth. I don't feel we should be going after another star unless its obvious Porter won't be one.
  10. http://espn.go.com/chicago/nba/story/_/id/10826567/2014-nba-playoffs-chicago-bulls-buy-basket-game-2-need-buy-player-get-done Wanted: A scorer at crunch time After their offensive drought in Game 2, it's clear what the Bulls need By: Michael Wilbon ~ The Wizards are good defensively. Good, but not so good the Bulls should go eight minutes without scoring. The Wizards ranked 10th among the NBA's 30 teams in defensive efficiency. They have, increasingly over the season, learned how to stop opponents late in games. "The last two years we have been in a lot of top two defensive categories," Wizards coach Randy Wittman said. "This team has the belief, and I am an old-school coach. I come from Bobby Knight. "You had to play defense. I still think defensive wins at this stage." It does. But Wittman also has a lineup that features five fully capable offensive players who are a threat to score, plus three players who can come off the bench (Trevor Booker, Martell Webster and Andre Miller, who combined to shoot 10-for-15) and keep the offense humming while the starters rest. Those three Wizards reserves each had more baskets than Bulls starters Boozer and Jimmy Butler. ~ *At least he took a bite of his own crow, now he needs to chew and swallow it.
  11. Agreed. Ariza is like a shutdown corner, put him on their best receiver and see what happens. If we go into game 3 doing the same thing, should be a long night for Chicago. They're a good team, but you can make the arguement that's their only scorer.
  12. I'm done with Wilbon from now on. Talking like we're a rookie finesse team when we're a top 10 defense with 5 players over 30. That's not counting Ariza who's 28 with a ring. Hater. I look at this the same way last time we saw Chicago in the playoffs: we can lose if they force us to play their game, but they can't play ours. Wizards are better team, but need to prove it.
  13. I don't agree with the idea that Indiana is the team we should want to see in the first round. And watching this team down the stretch, even as someone that is becoming more understanding of basketball can tell we're getting out-coached. Ted has to look at it like this: do you see Randy as a coach that can win you a championship? The answer is obvious now, and I won't forgive Ted for maintaining this status quo because it finally looks better then **** for a change.
  14. 32 points and 10 assists from the bench in the first half alone. Goodness. Somebody wants a playoff berth tonight.
  15. This team seems burned out at the worst possible time. hope they can still make the playoffs and get a boost from nene coming back.
  16. That's rediculous. Even the Spurs don't walk into a stadium thinking all they have to do is show up to win, and they're the #1 seed on a 13 game winning streak. Pop won't allow it, so I wonder what Randy is doing about that.
  17. Way too many turnovers, man. and ariza is just frustrating the hell out of me lately. 15 in first quarter, 1 point the rest of the game?
  18. I can live with that, especially once they change our name to the Washington Warriors. *kick can
  19. There's still only 2 and half game seperating the 3th and 6th in the east. Could always be worse; keep pushin...
  20. I've been watching a lot of games this year, and have been really trying to slowely understand so many posters definitively picking Gortat over Ariza if we could only sign one. I've started to come around to getting it, tonight hit home. We seem to find forwards out of nowhere (like Gooden) to at least contribute. I don't remember ever having a center that just does his damn job like Gortat. Not that I want Ariza to leave, but if he does, we could probably bring everybody back that we really want to then go from there.
  21. Awesome game late night, true grit til the end. Gotta say on the comment about going small that I was basically begging Wittman to take Beal out and put Miller back in with Wall being hot. Being forced to play without a center may have opened the door a little for a new wrinkle (or maybe I just want to see some reason to see our #3 overall pick on the floor for something)
