  1. Terry played well but the wideouts HAVE to make plays for Sam. The ball doesn't have to be perfect for them to catch it.
  2. The sad part is this isn't unique to Rivera as the Washington head coach.
  3. Blowouts reflect poor preparation, game planning, and adjustments. While we need some new players, playing the draft lottery won’t fix poor coaching. I’m also not a proponent of tanking or hoping to lose, we should play and expect to win at times. Losing is habit, just like winning.
  4. On another forum, someone posted a cut up of all his sacks from the bears game. On all but one, no one was open or close to open when he reached the top of his drop. Our wideouts aren’t winning fast enough. If the receivers have the same “save myself for another play” lack of hustle as our defense, they are all expecting the first read to win and are loafing.
  5. I will play opposing view. What we don’t know is Forbes’s attitude, attention and performance during the week. Benching could be the culmination of many things up to this point. What we do know is the guy that replaced him played well, or at least wasn’t exposed. That doesn’t mean Forbes is done. If things go well, he should be a better player when he returns.
  6. My thoughts: Our wideouts are not doing enough. It seemed like Terry came to play given his start but then he vanished. That doesn’t happen to a #1 guy every week. I’m extremely disappointed in Brown. He needs to find a way to make catches, IDC if the balls weren’t perfect. Make your QB right. Howell is doing more than enough. EB has to design a better run game. The dives are TRASH! I’m still not pleased with the defensive hustle. If the play goes away from them, they jog lazily and watch. You never know what can happen. Chase seems to have little interest in mixing it up. He will take on the point of attack but he’s not attempting to shed or pursue. At the same token, please keep Hudson on the field. He wasn’t afraid to run until the whistle. I feel bad for Forbes, but Johnson did the job.
  7. Fuller's pick was nice too. Fuller has been playing well this year. I was referring to the 2TD passes that Ridder overthrew in the first half.
  8. Atlanta has to feel bad about their execution. They clearly had no respect for our defense. EB has to get better with his running game design. I've had enough of the dive.
  9. Too bad. Hudson played well against Dallas last year. The assistant/associate coaches need to be hyping up guys like him and advocating for their playing time. Linebacker and oline are two spots where a younger guy couldn't be much worse, but they have more upside. Mayo isn't all that but he could have helped against the run last week.
  10. Those teams won't lose stride if the trade fails. The new guys just have to fit in and are not expected to be heroes. If they don't, cool--just give us good looks for practice. If we trade anyone away we MUST get nearly immediate value in return.
  11. Collins and the coaching staff really screwed themselves. Collins as a buffalo nickle seemed to have the potential to be our best "linebacker". He was making plays and not getting dusted by WRs as much. Speaking of the struggling LBs, what are Hudson, Harris or Mayo doing?
  12. I wonder if our “star” players are poorly utilized or coached. If they stay here, could they benefit from better coaching or are they ruined by years of bad coaching?
  13. He has earlier this year. I wouldn't be surprised if he has a TFL or two in his stats. Teams are exploiting his weakness. He has to keep working. Too early to give up.
  14. If it is on the road, we win will comfortably. Commies 28 Falcons 10
  15. Of course the media talks about us now.
  16. He does have a "I'm drunk" kind of face and speech pattern. He either is or totally incoherent when he is drunk. Good to know it didn't stop him from becoming wealthy.
  17. Defense wasn't rested on the first series of the game? Also Fields was a 50% passer last night and still won by 20. Maybe they could have run more but it wouldn't have impacted the outcome. They were dominating both our lines. Maybe the plan was let the Bears offense tire themselves out. They certainly were racking up the injuries but the backups were as good or better.
  18. Our running game is not productive and we were down 17-0 nearly after kickoff.
  19. For 5 weeks, I saw Juste, Allen, Young, Sweat, and Forbes jogging if a play is going away from them or pulling up or watching a teammate make or miss a tackle. That is fundamental day 1 football!! Play to the whistle, you never know what can happen!
  20. I’d like to give him the benefit of the doubt too. As our number 1 guy he is rarely used or targeted like one. He is a king of contested catches because he’s not open.
  21. I wasn’t in the fire RR camp but this was a “statement loss”. This one cost everyone their jobs. I wonder if EB survives.
