Cowboys were trying to win.
Cowboys were trying to win. Maybe they were mentally in it but they wanted to win.
I wouldn't be surprised if the NFE will not be that impressive in the playoffs.
I didn't love the leap call either, but the read option on the previous play was brilliant. Unfortunately their backup safety was playing like Ronnie Lott yesterday.
Ron has:
battled cancer
a DC drawing negative attention to himself
streaky defense
league and congressional investigations
COVID outbreak during their seasonal hot streak
average at best offense
potential new ownership
Ron kept team together during all that madness and STILL played meaningful games in December. That is a solid coach.
Same. We should try to keep a strength a strength. Acquiring draft picks doesn’t promise anything. Our day one picks generally disappoint anyway. We should ask for a handful for 3-5 round picks.
I wondered the same, but Ron does seem to play the long game with health. They shutdown Allen early as well.
I have no problem him not tracking scenarios. All they had to do is win. They have been in that mode for the last 4 weeks and more or less blew it. We would have lost with Taylor today too. The browns were getting nearly everything they wanted on offense.
This isn't a playoff team. Even defensively, we didn't play well enough.
I don't mind if we try out Howell next week. We know what we have with Taylor and it is not enough long term. Carson has earned his way off the team, and perhaps the NFL.
