  1. Fiske also has injury issues apparently. He's also apparently well-liked by the NFL according to Michael Lombardi. I could see him becoming DT3 after Murphy & Newton. I could see Dallas say just screw it and take him in R2. They need a RB as badly as anyone in the NFL. He'd be amazing there.
  2. Is Peyton Wilson off your draft board? He's a top tier player on film, but that injury history is truly scary. Where would you say it's ok to take him?
  3. I wonder if Harbaugh takes him with their early 3rd? Heck, if he's as highly rated as you have him, LAC should take him with their early 2nd. Jim knows him more than anyone would.
  4. I don't think 36+100 gets you to 29. Just last year, the Titans had to trade 41+72+future 3rd to get #33. In 2022, the Jags traded 33+106+180 for 27. That's probably the closest in trade value. We don't even have our early 6th. We'd have to trade the late 3rd (100)+mid 5th (we got in the Howell trade) to do a trade like that. I'm not doing that.
  5. It would require sacrificing our early 3rd. I’m not doing that. I’d rather be patient and let the chips fall where they may. Heck, I think we sign a stopgap like Donovan Smith soon anyways
  6. I'd be totally fine taking Kingsley at 36. I just don't think he'll be there honestly. I could see KC (32) and especially NE (35) take him. We just need to be lucky.
  7. I'd put Mimms in that category as well. His major issue is durability.
  8. I can't see Chop falling to the 2nd. I think if he's still on the board, Arizona takes him at 27. Even if he lasts to day 2, Carolina (33 (to replace Burns (they can take WR with their other early 2nd))) and Arizona (34) could also take him. The Cards have a drastic need for edge. Heck, some teams may not have Latu on their boards because of the medical flags and thus, may have Chop as edge 3.
  9. Bowers is getting slept on big time in this draft due to his position. The Jets should run to the podium and take him if he's there at 10 over any of the OL. He's just a much better player than those guys are. He isn't going past Indy at 15, that's for sure. Heck, if I were Atlanta, I'd consider trading Pitts for a 2nd and taking Bowers at 8. Use the two 2nds and two 3rd you have all on defense.
  10. I'm pretty sure LB1 will be available when we pick at 36. GB has a major need at that area. If they want to trade up, I can see a deal making sense. It would probably be something like: 36 for 41+126 (late 4th).
  11. https://www.sportskeeda.com/nfl/news-2024-nfl-draft-insider-notes-the-brock-bowers-vs-drake-maye-conversation-steelers-plans-shore-ranks Tony Pauline with some interesting nuggets. Sainstrill going early 2nd is pretty wild.
  12. But they don't need a LT. They have Slater. They need a RT, but they can go for Paul/Rosengarten/etc. with their early 2nd. I think I'd rather have Nabers/MHJ than take Alt.
  13. Nah, I'm saying why take 11+23 to take the RT (Fuaga, Latham, etc) at 11 and hope a good WR is there at 23? I figure Thomas is long gone, so are they taking Mitchell there? I don't see it. I'd rather have Nabers/MHJ+Paul/Kingsley (taken at their early 2nd) vs Fuaga/Latham (11)+Chop Robinson (23)+Pearsall/etc (early 2nd).
  14. I think if Brooks is there at 71, I'm running to the podium and taking him. I don't care if he's an RB. He represents too much value at that point in the draft. With B-Rob, Ekelar, and Rodriguez, we can sit him an allow him to recuperate.
  15. Unless the Bolts are headset on taking a RT at 5, why would they do that. Pound for pound, Nabers/MHJ are better than any OL in this draft. They can get a Patrick Paul type with their early 2nd if they are fixated on tackle. This draft has so many of them.
  16. This team isn't winning anything for years. Deni is the only one who maybe could play in an all-star game once. He's still extremely valuable (especially with his cheap contract extension). Plus, their pick goes to the Knicks if it falls out of the top 10 next year or top 8 the year after that (if they are still bad, then they owe two second rounders instead). There is no way they are going to be good simply because of that liability. They are in Y1 of a massive rebuild. It'll take 4-5 years before they can sniff trying to compete for a title (they have to be extremely lucky to draft all-star caliber talents).
  17. I'm thinking if all of our desired targets (Kool-Aid, Darius Robinson, Morgan, Ladd) are gone at 36, we could have a trade up candidate for Edgerinn Cooper as teams would want LB1. Green Bay at 41 desperately needs a LB for example. Also, Nix might be there as well.
  18. I just don't see him fall to us unfortunately GC. His floor is probably SF at 31. They need DL help badly (along with OL help). He's battling to be edge 4 with Chop. Arizona is going to take an edge at either 27 or 34.
  19. No way Robinson makes it to 36. He's scheduled to attend the draft. The NFL isn't inviting players to sit all day and not get picked.
  20. I posted this earlier in the thread: In 2022, Jets traded 36 for 38+146 (10 spots from the top of round 5) In 2022, Falcons traded 38 for 43+114 (a mid 4th) In 2022, Indy traded 42+122 ( (mid 4th) for 53+77 (mid 3rd)+192 (mid 6th) In 2021, Bengals traded 38 for 46+122 (20 spots from the top of round 4)+139 (early 5th) In 2021, Carolina traded 39+151 (mid 5th) for 52+83 (mid 3rd)+204 (27 spots from top of round 6) In 2021, Giants traded 42 for 50+future 3rd In 2020, Browns traded 41 for 44+160 (24 spots from top of round 5) In 2019, Raiders traded 35+140 (top of round 5)+235 (mid 7th) for 38+109 (8 spots from top of round 4) In 2019, Seahawks traded 37 for 47+77 (12 spots from top of round 3) In 2019, Raiders traded 38 for 40+158 (mid 5th)
  21. Its one thing when you are MHJ who has been regarded as a top 5 pick for years. Its another when you are OL and are competing against the multitude of top tier guys this year. I have him falling significantly. I think his range is honestly 18-32 now. I can't justify taking him over Fuaga or Fautanu.
  22. Unless its Morgan, I don't think we get a starting LT in the 2nd round right away. I'm thinking we may sign a Donovan Smith type as a stopgap for this season. That or we sign DJ Humphries (Kliff knows him) and hope he rehabs quick from his ACL.
  23. He doesn't go past Pittsburgh IMO. I know they need OL help, but they can get a RT prospect in R2. They won't get a WR like Thomas. They traded away Johnson. Pickens is uber talented, but you just don't know what you'll get from him.
  24. Yeah, I think Brooks is a definite potential pick for us with our first 3rd. We redshirt him and hope he doesn't become Bryce Love 2.0. He's a big time talent and B-Rob would be entering his last year after this season (and Ekelar is a short-term solution as well), so thinking ahead is a smart strategy. I think Thomas is kind of going to fall through no fault of his own. With the depth of this class, who is taking him in the teens? 11). Minnesota (will be used in a trade up for a QB) 12). Denver (can't see them taking WR. They are a big time trade down team (for another team who wants CB1 (like Arnold or Mitchell) 13). Vegas (RT is a major need and Fuaga/Latham/Fautanu will be there) 14). Saints (O-line is a huge need area and Fashanu, Fuaga, Fautanu, Latham all represent value) 15). Colts (maybe, but I think they go edge or CB (Arnold/Mitchell (whomever is left)) 16). Seattle (no way as OL is a major need and Fautanu could be the pick) 17). Jags (maybe, but I think they grab CB3 (Wiggins)) 18). Bengals (Yes, but could go DT1 (Murphy) or CB3 (Wiggins if still available)) 19). Rams (Perhaps, but could go Edge, CB, or DT) 20). Steelers (Sneaky yes as they traded away Johnson. However, CB and OL are major need areas as well) 21). Miami (no way) 22). Philly (no way) 23). Minnesota (will be used in trade up for QB) 24). Dallas (maybe, but I think this OL) 25). GB (no way) 26). Tampa (maybe, but edge or OL makes more sense) 27). Cards (only if they don't take WR at 4) 28). Bills (Yes)
