  1. And yet he finished with a barely 500 record with a prime Matt Ryan at QB (and Julio). At the biggest moment, he couldn't order his OC to run the ball three straight times to bleed the clock and kick a FG that wins the Super Bowl. Instead, Kyle gets cute and calls a pass that results in a sack that knocks Atlanta out of FG range. That's not a leader. That's not a coach on top of things. He's the head coach. Simply ordering Kyle to run the ball three straight times wins the super bowl. THat's on him. Kyle had more to do getting to that super bowl than Quinn did. After Kyle left, the Falcons didn't even win the division the next year going 10-6. After that, he goes 7-9 and then gets fired after an 0-5 start. He's Jeff Fisher 2.0. Fisher went to a super bowl too. If Quinn was this defensive genius, then why did Atlanta become atrocious defensively under his watch? Quinn feasted on crappy teams like us and NYG to boost his defense in Dallas.
  2. Not to the extent BB was (in two different places). BB also went to a Super Bowl with the Pats and the AFC title game with the Jets. The move from Cleveland sabotaged his career there. Quinn also had the opportunity to feast on our crappy team as well the crappy Giants 4 games a year to pad his stats. Ultimate retread coach who is basically Jeff Fisher 2.0.
  3. Caroll was coming off the revival of USC. Belichek was coming off being the DC on the Pats AND the Jets (where he was widely successful). Reid was coming off of 4 NFC title game appearances and a super bowl appearance. Quinn hasn't snuffed that type of success. John Schneider knew Quinn and passed on him. He's the ultimate retread. I'd rather go with a complete unproven coach vs Quinn. The fact that he had a near 500 record with a prime Matt Ryan shows that he's not an elite coach. He couldn't recognize coaching talent as he passed on promoting LaFleur to OC after Kyle left. His speciality is defense and that Atlanta defense was ATROCIOUS by the time he was fired.
  4. Yup. I’d take Pete over Quinn. I’d rather get Belichek over retread Quinn. Still have no idea why we aren’t even interviewing him
  5. Honestly, at this stage if we don't get Mcdonald, I'd hire Belichek. Easily Belichek over Quinn. If Belichek would agree to work under Peters, then he'd be the choice.
  6. Just listened to a Jim Nagy interview and he said Guton is the most talented OL in the draft. He compared him to Tyron Smith. Called him super athletic and better than Fashanu and Alt
  7. Martin is going to be a stud for us. By the end of this past season, he was arguably our 3rd best defender on defense. He went where he was supposed to last draft
  8. B-Rob's pass catching ability was the stunner of the past year.
  9. Barkley is super overrated. He's been a bad pass-protector and doesn't run with toughness inside. He also has the injury history. Save the money and go with B-Rob and develop Rodriguez. Sign a cheap vet scat-back or draft one.
  10. You think Fashanu can play tackle, or is he destined to be AVT 2.0 and transition to guard?
  11. The only OT I'd trade up for is Fuaga, but he'll be long gone. Otherwise, I'm with you GC and let the draft come to us. We'll get an option at IOL with our 2nd rounders. Heck, I think getting Onwenwu in FA (to play RT), and shifting Wylie to G dramatically improves the OL.
  12. Yeah, you're probably right. Wilson's age & injury history will cause him to fall. I do think he goes 3rd rounder though. At some point, teams will say the reward outweighs the risk.
  13. 100% agree GC. Leno gets a bad rap. He's not elite or anything, but he's a solid vet on a good contract. We need to have a solid vet at LT for our rookie QB. Heck, most LTs would have struggled with who was playing LG last year. Signing Owenwu to be RT and moving Wylie to LG improves the OL significantly.
  14. I think BPA at 36 may be your draft crush Payton Wilson. I don't think he'll be LB1 because teams may be scared by his medicals, but I doubt he lasts to our early 3rd round pick. If we want him, we'll need to take him with one of those seconds.
  15. The schedule isn't horrible. Home: Dallas Philly NYG Chicago Atlanta Carolina Tennessee Pittsburgh Cleveland Away: Dallas Philly NYG Baltimore Cincy Arizona New Orleans Tampa Aside from Lamar & Burrow, we aren't playing any tier 1 QBs. Hurts & Dak are really good, but after that its not an OMG slate.
  16. Mankins was basically done after he got traded. Brown has only been good with NE. After NE, he signed a big deal in Vegas and sucked. Then he went back and was solid until now where he can't play anymore. Joe Thuney left NE and has been a solid OL in KC as a counterpoint.
  17. Arizona has a FO that values picks. That is why they did the trade down last year. They aren't trading up for MHJ when they can get a comparable WR talent in Nabers at 4 if for some reason MHJ isn't there. Nabers would easily be a WR1 in any other draft. It kind of sucks he'll probably fall to NYG at 6 unless the Chargers decide to take him over Bowers.
