Just a terrible scheme last year and lack of talent at DB. Coach O left the cupboard pretty bare as well on his way out. Louisiana is always going to be a hot bed for talent and now that Saban is gone, Kelly should be able to put up an even bigger fence around Louisiana. No reason for them not to be top 5 in recruiting year after year. And any coach can win a title there, proof is those buffoons Miles and Coach O winning do love Coach O though for bringing us 2019. Couldn’t stand Miles though and he’s not a good human being. I expect Kelly to win 1 or 2 titles before he retires. People overlook the fact that LSU has the second most titles behind Bama since 2000 with 3. Currently have the number 1 QB, number 1 WR, and number 1 RB committed to LSU for 2025. Crews and Daniels leading the way for DC for the next 10-12 years? One can only dream.

Yep it was maddening last season watching that defense. LSU wins the title with a top 60 defense. Just an atrocious job of coaching but Kelly and the coaches had also neglected the secondary and arguably our best DB unfortunately was diagnosed with brain cancer in the middle of the season. Kelly did a phenomenal job in assembling an all-star collection of defensive coaches going forward though. Expecting us to sneak in as an 11 or 12 seed this year and contend for it all in 2025 and have a stud Bryce Underwood coming in to take over for Nuss. And I’m really interested to see what Joe Sloan does finally as an OC. Really excited to see what Nussmeier does for us this season. He reminds me a ton of a slightly bigger Baker Mayfield. Gunslinger mentality. He came in and lit up the Georgia National Championship team in the SEC championship and made it rain vs Wisconsin in the bowl game.

2019 is the best college offense I’ve ever seen. People forget about how much of a stud Terrace Marshall was as the 3rd WR. Burrow did utilize the TE Moss a good bit in clutch situations as well. It was just a well oiled machine. Just an absolute cheat code of an offense. Terrace was injured for a few games but still put up these numbers that season in 12 games: 12 games 46 catch’s 671 yards 13 TDS Thank you! Been trying to find that tweet for the longest time. I really think Jayden is going to wow at the combine and I remember someone saying RG3 was faster. I don’t think that’s true. I expect Jayden to run a sub 4.4 at the combine and wow scouts with his interviews as well. not getting into anymore online arguments here just want what’s best for Washington and hope it’s Maye or Daniels. I do have a futures on JD to go number 1 though.

The Washington Nationals Thread: The Future is Near!

Bunch of Crews missiles incoming this year. Crews, House, Wood, and Abrams..future looks bright. Just need some of these pitchers to pan out. -
lol clearly you haven’t read my posts, I don’t disagree with the fact he has to get better at protecting himself. I actually back up my claims with stats and facts though and then you have a few folks keeping the back and forth going because their feelings get hurt when they’re proven wrong with..you know, facts. It’s just laughable at this point. I’ve said multiple times I’m great with Maye or Daniels as I think they are the two best QBs in this draft class.

And I honestly feel bad for Howell because if we didn’t have a top 5 pick this year, might be worth trying to give another year behind a reinforced Oline. I could see him landing somewhere and being a top 15 QB. Probably see something similar with Justin Fields. Don’t think either will ever be a franchise guy but could make a solid career like a Baker.

That’s what I mean though. Daniels is a much better passer than Lamar and will shred defenses with his arm if he has to. That’s why I think he’s going to be everything the media pretends Lamar to be. Lamar and Monken got away from what makes him so successful against the Chiefs. Lamar always comes up short in the playoffs too. I’m not that impressed with Lamar’s passing. He was outside the top ten in both passing yards and TDs. I think Jayden can has the ability to be top 5 in both. And that combination with his running ability will have him on a Stroud like first season. That’s what I envision anyway. Could be dead wrong but that’s what I truly think will happen.

It’s basically the same story as Burrow. First year getting acclimated to the new system and then LIFT OFF the second season. Saw flashes of his ability his first season at LSU against Florida and Alabama and everyone was praying that he could put it together for a full season and we would win a national title and he would probably win the Heisman. Did the majority of us anticipate him taking that leap like Burrow did? No, not really if I’m being honest. It’s so frustrating we had the worst defense in my lifetime to pair with the historic season last year. I was extremely frustrated with Jayden his first season because he didn’t trust his receivers. But he was also throwing to Boutte too and come to find out that guy was betting on games But he proved me and a lot of others wrong.

I’ve only been backing up my stance with..*checks notes*…facts. I think we get a winner with Maye or Daniels. Each QB has their own issues and that’s what makes the speculation fun. Again I’m just here to dispel some of the false narratives being thrown around and bring actual stats to the conversation. Have I been a bit pompous about it? Yeah, but I also get annoyed when people just make up stuff on the fly. But that’s the internet I guess. This entire fanbase is broken after the last 30 years and I don’t remember this board being so hostile back in the early 2000s.
-
Yeah just like the SEC murdered him I’m cracking up because all the Daniels detractors can do is try and respond with sarcastic and “witty” responses with pictures that are 3+ years old. It’s hard to argue against facts so I guess that is all they’re left with. And if you’re letting a few message board posters turn you against the young man, maybe you need to step back and reevaluate some things.

Literally have provided two videos for you to watch with your own two eyes yet you continue to try and discredit the facts and video I’ve provided here. It really is bizarre the false narratives and assumptions being made in this thread with literally no facts to back up. And when I hit y’all with facts you still fail to believe what’s in front of you.
