Yep, absolute franchise killer move. Quinn has lost control of the team already. Mariota is the clear #1 in the locker room and JD won’t be able to recover from this.

Anthony also looks to use his size and initiate contact to get an extra yard or two while JD is a lot more elusive and doesn’t try to be some power back. He’s also a much better passer than Anthony and I doubt he will have to rely on his legs as much as Anthony does.

JD5 took the critiques from the LSU coaching staff, most notably from Sloan (QB whisperer-watch what he does with Nuss this season) and put in the work and clearly it paid off. I believe he will listen to the coaches on learning to protect himself better instead of trying to be the hero as often as he did at LSU. He is extremely coachable and is going to do whatever he can to try and be the best out there. The work ethic is unbelievable with this kid. And just to echo what’s already been said here, the only concern I have is the ability to stay healthy but that can go for any player out there. If he remains fairly healthy, we finally have our franchise QB for the next 10-12 seasons. Obviously a lot of players can say all the right things and then don’t back it up, but that isn’t the case with Jayden. He drove a lot of us crazy at LSU his first season because he wasn’t trusting his receivers and would just pull it down and run a lot more often than he should have. You saw glimpses of his passing ability against Florida in the swamp and everyone was thinking where has that Jayden been? I’ll probably be at FedEx for Chicago to see JD5 outshine Caleb and fly out to Cincy for JD5 vs Burrow. I can’t stand Saints fans (was attending LSU during Brees prime years) but the Superdome is indeed a giant party and had a great time last time I saw us play there. Highly recommend everyone to make that trip if you can. That was the game we melted down with Cousins and poor Chris Thompson breaking his leg and the Saints won in OT. That fanbase is coming back down to earth quickly dang that was my last Skins game now that I think about it and I haven’t been back to FedEx since the RGknee game vs the Seahawks in the playoffs.

I am as big of a pessimist as there is when it comes to my sports teams (have always assumed the worst/kept expectations low), but there are a few players that can shift that mindset towards hope and confidence and JD is one of them. I’ll continue banging that drum that we found our franchise QB finally. It’s a dream scenario for me too as a LSU alum. Was a Skins fan first after all, even though my first memory is a 3-0 home loss to the Jets. Another thing that doesn’t really show up in the highlights but moreso real time is that JD has ice in his veins much like Burrow in that they always keep calm under pressure no matter the circumstances and never get flustered and try and force anything. Think about all the comebacks LSU made this year and the back and forth rope a dopes they had and JD still avoided turning it over when games were on the line. He is as clutch as clutch can be. It’s a travesty he had arguably the worst LSU defense of all time on the other side. Thanks Matt House.

I think the combo of Terry and JD5 being workaholics is really going to rub off on the offense and competitiveness/desire to be the best as cliche as all that sounds. Obviously JD5 isn't going to win the vets over immediately, but when they see him putting in all the time and effort this offseason leading into training camp, etc. it's going to reinvigorate everyone and lead to a big culture shift with the coaching staff, etc. Man I'm so stoked.

He is going to be…as in when he really hits his stride. That’s fine though, just watch and see over the next couple of seasons. Get excited over JD5 instead of worrying about what a fan believes is going to happen. go and research Lamar’s passing stats by the way, especially in the playoffs. It’s very underwhelming. It’s a joke he won the MVP this past season as well.

Some quick thoughts: Sanders and Milroe won't even go in the first round. It's absolute insanity they have Sanders as the first overall pick in some of the mock drafts I'm seeing. Milroe is 3rd-4th round talent at best. He is SO SLOW through his progressions. 😄I think Ewers and Leonard end up being 1 and 2. Brady Cook is someone to keep an eye on out of MissourI. Burden is probably the first WR taken, he's an animal. LSU will have a truly dominant oline this season so I expect Nuss to sling it and Kyren Lacy to light it up, but Lacy has to quit with the drops if he wants to sniff the 1st or 2nd round. Interested to see how Harold rebounds this year with a real defensive coordinator. He's probably the best coverage LB in the country going into this next season. He needs to be able to shed blockers better as that is a major weakness of his.

I've been saying he is going to be an upgraded Lamar Jackson that has the run threat (not as dynamic as Lamar, but who is?) , but he is a much better passer than Lamar so he is going to be insanely tough to defend. If we even have a top 15 defense, I expect us to be contending for a playoff spot. That's how much of a game changer I expect this guy to be. So glad I can continue to watch this guy QB one of my teams. 😎 I think Terry is going to have a record year with JD5 throwing the rock. They both have an insane drive and work ethic.

Wouldn’t mind taking a flyer on Charles Turner. Could be good depth potentially.
