Didn't someone post that 2nd round bids were submitted a couple weeks ago. Is there a planned 3rd round or is it just open-ended until Dan sees the number he's comfortable with from the current bidders? All the talk about him not wanting to sell to Besos makes sense but I wonder if he would due to another potential factor: He might want the highest amount if Tanya might rid herself of his arse after the sale to distance herself from him and all the legal issues. That would mean she would get 1/2 (barring a pre-nup) of his worth post sale and she could make the argument that she was the de-facto owner the last 2 years so could ask for a break of that pre-nup agreement. Just spitballing here as to why Dan might sell to Bezos if he gets an offer much higher than current bids.

Re the hard coaching angle, Pete Hailey had a good take on this last week. He cited that this accountable coaching technique usually rubs divas the wrong way (see Strahan with Coughlin) but thinks we have many starts that are humble and would not be opposed to this or complain. Kids like Terry, B Rob, Gibby, Bates, hopefully Samuel (after taking a few years to get back to form), Howell (assuming so as he has been touted as a hard worker always trying to improve), and youngins like Cam and Dyami who haven't gotten the minutes yet, all seem to not be divas and this coaching style would repel them. Luckily the only real diva is on the D in Chase and if you add Kam Curl's Dad lol. So hoping our young stars on the O side of the ball will be hungry to learn and improve their games and take to EB's coaching style and thrive.

Payne had 3.5 more sacks than Sweat. I know it was a contract year but perhaps we keep him and dangle Sweat instead. It seems we are getting more push and pass rushing from our interior guys and if they push the pocket, even an Obama or another on the end can reap benefits.

How would you compare his metrics to the rook from Fl Richardson who they say has a cannon, can run like the wind, and is raw in footwork and passing. Chances are he'll be gone by our pick in many mocks but would you take him instead of trading assets/picks for Fields. Howell has an arm that can make all the throws, can run well and is already better as a passer. I guess he's not the prototypical height but has a steady base to take hits running. Do you think Fields is an upgrade? Maybe in potential but is that worth losing a pick or two to get him? How would you rank Howell, Fields, Love, Lance as the last three seem to be raw but more athletic for running and perhaps bigger arms. I think you have to factor what is between the ears as well and Howell seems to have the edge there and also is a hard worker.

Ture about Curl but we have him another year first. Could Branch just replace Bobby McCain in the meantime and maybe we get savings from cutting him or restructure to backup level?

Has anyone confirmed that Ron and Marty met with the Snyders and received the "budget" for spending this offseason on coaches/players? We need that shoe to drop to get a FA plan going. Hopefully if the sale is going to go thru and the main players are identified, the new potential owner is already planning for staff and or spending on players.

I agree that its imperative that we resign Payne and our process with Sweat should first see how Chase comes back and how they play together. We should have $28M extra with Wentz gone next year and hopefully we find out what the rook can do when we are eliminated. Don't need Wentz to go back in to get us more wins and we miss the playoffs but get the 18th pick. OL for sure needs fixing but I do like Leno and a healthy Chase. I want to see what Chris Paul has before we get two new guards again.

What is going on with Cole Turner as I thought he was only slightly dinged at the end of preseason? Or are they just making him inactive in the numbers game cause I thought he was going to be a good redzone and slot option for us.

I was equally and maybe more impressed on his first TD. His break was sick and was wide open but had to wait for Wentz to throw it so when the DB was closing in, Dotson caught the ball with 2 hands (not body) and immediately while still in the air transitioned the ball to his right hand away from the defender. If he kept the ball in front of him the DB could have tried (and maybe successfully) batted it out of his hands. Dotson's moving of the ball to his side away from the DB prevented that possibility of a breakup from happening and kept our 6pts. Amazing transition control of the ball in mid-air. Anyone else notice that as I watched it several times again during the commercial? The kid is just impressive and his personality with Finlay's interview on the field post game just warms me ****les. 🤣

I guess they are letting Dre and others find out on their own that they are not world beaters that will be targeted early on so perhaps we are still in touch with their agents and will sign in coming weeks...maybe 1yr deal again if no other teams are offering multi years. Maybe same goes for Lucas as well and they weren't starters here. Hope we can get them back as they were good fr us even if they are shiny starting toys for others.
