  1. Yeah same here. I can't help shaking the feeling that with some script/story tweaks that Iron Fist would have made a better Defenders origin story.
  2. Two shows into IF. Kinda enjoying it, just not totally sucked into having to binge the entire 13 shows at once like I was with the Daredevil & Luke Cage. Though it seems halfway through the second show one things is being set up long term for either The Defenders or Daredevil 3.
  3. Just started it so we'll see. But Daredevil should be 100%.
  4. Trevor Noah (The Daily Show) has a stand up special on Netflix. Frickin hilarious with all the different accents he can pull off.
  5. Picked this up, haven't started it yet though. https://www.amazon.com/Empires-End-Aftermath-Star-Trilogy/dp/1101966963 Following Star Wars: Aftermath and Star Wars: Life Debt, Chuck Wendig delivers the exhilarating conclusion to the New York Times bestselling trilogy set in the years between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens.EVERY END IS A NEW BEGINNING.As the final showdown between the New Republic and the Empire draws near, all eyes turn to a once-isolated planet: Jakku. The Battle of Endor shattered the Empire, scattering its remaining forces across the galaxy. But the months following the Rebellion’s victory have not been easy. The fledgling New Republic has suffered a devastating attack from the Imperial remnant, forcing the new democracy to escalate their hunt for the hidden enemy. For her role in the deadly ambush, Grand Admiral Rae Sloane is the most wanted Imperial war criminal—and one-time rebel pilot Norra Wexley, back in service at Leia’s urgent request, is leading the hunt. But more than just loyalty to the New Republic drives Norra forward: Her husband was turned into a murderous pawn in Sloane’s assassination plot, and now she wants vengeance as much as justice. But Sloane, too, is on a furious quest: pursuing the treacherous Gallius Rax to the barren planet Jakku. As the true mastermind behind the Empire’s devastating attack, Rax has led the Empire to its defining moment. The cunning strategist has gathered the powerful remnants of the Empire’s war machine, preparing to execute the late Emperor Palpatine’s final plan. As the Imperial fleet orbits Jakku, an armada of Republic fighters closes in to finish what began at Endor. Norra and her crew soar into the heart of an apocalyptic clash that will leave land and sky alike scorched. And the future of the galaxy will finally be decided.Praise for Chuck Wendig’s Aftermath“Star Wars: Aftermath [reveals] what happened after the events of 1983’s Return of the Jedi. It turns out, there’s more than just the Empire for the good guys to worry about.”—The Hollywood Reporter“The Force is strong with Star Wars: Aftermath.”—Alternative Nation“The Star Wars universe is fresh and new again, and just as rich and mysterious as it always was.”—Den of Geek!Aftermath: Life Debt“Compulsively readable, the kind of caramel-corn book you just keep stuffing in your face until it’s gone.”—Tor.com“Man oh man, this is good stuff. [Life Debt] reveals what Han and Chewie were up to after Return of the Jedi.”—io9“Gripping reading . . . [This novel] hits the ground running.”—New York Daily News
  6. Started catching up on Season 2 of Colony earlier after finding out it was 5 shows in & the DVR only started recording it last week. That's the problem when you have to switch out your DVR box, you have to reprogram every show you're recording & hope you don't miss any. Otherwise you're stuck having to catch up using InDemand which on Cox Cable has ads & your can't FF through them.
  7. APB - Think of it as what if Tony Stark never made the Iron Man armor & ran a Chicago police precinct instead.
  8. I've been doing the same thing & haven't watched it yet either.
  9. Binged the first three seasons of Eastbound & Down over the weekend. Now I'm going start banning guys with a YouTube clip of Kenny Powers saying "You're ****ing out!"

  11. Just finished the first season of Splinter Cell on Showtime. Kinda 24ish with the terror cel attack thing in LA but a good show.
  12. Just started SIX on the History channel, mainly because my guy Walter Goggins stars in it. First one is on InDemand & the second show aired last night I believe. Looks like both of them can be streamed here: http://www.history.com/shows/six

  14. The Imperial Senate will not sit still for this.
  15. Binged the first season of Outsiders on WGN as they were running an all day marathon. Pretty good show. It's like Sons of Anarchy & Justified had a love child.
  16. This U.K. Championship tournament is pretty damn good. I'm up to the final four right now. Thought it was both interesting & odd that both nights they open the "Welcome grappling fans" line. I just wish they had put anyone else besides Cole on commentary with Nigel, who hasn't called it ROH yet. And speaking of Cole, they should really ban the words "vintage" & "wheelhouse" from his vocabulary before it gets turned into a drinking game. :silly:
  17. So I was zapping through last week or this weeks (I had 11-12 shows on the DVD) ROH show when the Bucks of Youth started cutting a promo on Broken Matt Hardy. Lights go out. All of a sudden the crowd goes ape**** as Broken Matt appears on the tron addressing the Bucks of Youth in the Honorable Ring. Basically the Broken Hardys plan to continue proving they're the greatest tag time in all space & time by deleting the Bucks of Youth run as Honarable Ring tag champs. Later on in the show, Young Bucks are in the ring again, lights go out. When they come back on, Vanguard 1 is flying in to attack the YBs who super kick vg1 to end the show.
