  1. They just looked like they didn't have any energy out there. Hopefully they can get that back before they take on the Bulls two days from now.
  2. I don't want any players who may potentially upset the finances beyond the next two years. We need to have as much cap space as possible to keep Beal, sign Kevin Durant, while still having Wall under contract with a max deal. The Redskins need to do something similar to find out who the leaker is for the Redskins.
  3. Hayward is a good player, but in the only two times I've seen him play he's just looked average to me.
  4. Chris Paul got the same expression on his face Rondo had Monday night, with Wall picking his pocket like that.
  5. I looooved that sequence. 3 by Pierce, steal, than 3 by Beal. The clippers can't run with us, they have to flop and try to slow it down with weak calls to keep it competitive.
  6. I see the refs need to check with Chris Paul to confirm every call tonight.
  7. Butler is contributing. Blair would likely be scooped up pretty quickly. We could release Temple and he'd still be there when Webster's back goes out again.
  8. Melo also wants to win his way, he's like Kobe....just less skilled and unwilling to play defense.
  9. He couldn't continue to say the same BS after watching Wall's game and than heart on display.
  10. Oh I agree, but I recall a year ago people thought the Pacers had turned the corner and would definitely outlast the Heat to make it to the Finals. It's a long season, and often the team that are hot early on don't remain hot all season long.
  11. Cowturd is trolling Washington fans. Even he isn't stupid enough to not realize Wall is a Top 5 PG in this league, and likely the best PG in the league in another 2-3 years. I listen to his podcast on occasion, and he never mentions Wall when he does well, he'll wait until Wall has a six point game before he starts throwing his digs in. Anyone who knows anything about basketball and has at least watched ONE Wizards game, can see Wall is not a selfish player and he's very mature. Yet Cowturd can't get over the dougie in his first pre-game. He'll be hating on Wall all the way to the ECF, and then he'll say he'd never get there without Beal/Pierce/possibly KD.
  12. Yes, NBA radio is awesome. They are very well-informed and you will listen to former players and people who know the game get into some real in depth conversations. Most local and national radio shows don't know anything about basketball outside of Lebron, Kobe, and the ball goes in the hoop.
  13. I haven't looked at the average salary of role players since the max salary was implemented, but I thought the league's point of implementing it was due to star players not living up to the money they were making. I place the blame on that more on the GM who made a bad decision than the player not being worth the money. I just find max salaries repugnant. The best player on one team, may be better than the best player on another team. Their salaries should not be the same, the better player should be paid more...and the teams should do a better job of negotiating.
  14. I don't believe Sterling was ousted because Lebron spoke out against his racism. He was ousted because sponsors were dropping from the Clippers within a short period of time, and the NBA was in danger of losing league sponsors as well. It's all the money. If their union was strong, and I'll admit they are stronger than the NFL's, then a max salary would've never happened.
  15. This will never happen in any sport not the MLB. The owners know their players generally live above their means, and even a little work stoppage will have them putting pressure on their union to give in to unreasonable ownership demands in order to get paid again.
  16. Good, that means ample time for them to build chemistry now that Beal is back. If they can stay healthy, they'll be really dangerous against the best teams in the league by January.
  17. I heard on the radio this morning on my way to work, Cosby spoke in a comedy bit back in the '70's about wanting to go to Spain and get the "Spanish Fly" drink, it went on the insinuate he and his co-star in a movie he did were openly interested in a drink to greatly impair someone's judgment. I thought I was desensitized to this type of stuff, but I'm quite surprised to hear about this in regards to Cosby. Don't know why I am surprised, none of us really know these people.
  18. The Wizards start the season 6-2 for the first time since the '70's. Not bad, not bad at all.
  19. I guess we'll have to see. But I don't think Beal is a max contract player YET. I hope we do have that dilemma, but with Nene, Pierce, and Webster off the books. I think we should be able to fit both of those guys in. I would even consider trading Otto if that is what it takes.
  20. The Bucks are completely outclassed. I want to see a blowout here, it's time our team grew up and didn't play down to the competition.
  21. I'm sorry, but that Wale song they're using for the intro is terrible.
  22. We blame Westbrook for everything because it's generally really his fault. Durant had no problems with getting the ball when Westbrook was injured last season. In fact, it's the main reason he ended up being MVP.
  23. I heard he's asking for a max contract, which is ridiculous.
