I'm not totally sold on Wall yet either, but while Kyrie is a better pure scorer than Wall, Wall is a better assist guy. They are close in rebounds per 48 minutes, as well as steals, but Wall still leads in those categories.

Yeah, I don't get what he could have been thinking. Nobody forced him to sign an extension with Minnesota. If he couldn't see that the GM is mildly incapable of building a team, than that's his own fault cause most everyone else can see it. All they do is draft PGs and PFs.

This is spot on and the same goes for Ryan Anderson. These guys have had one good year out of 3 or 4 and it's exactly the kind of contract that teams always regret one or two years later when the production goes back down.

The Wiz should still be a team competing for a playoff spot. Assuming Indiana is still a playoff team, that leaves 3 spots between NY, Philly, Wizards, and maybe Milwaukee or Toronto?? Orlando and Atlanta will fall off significantly.

Everyone here has reservations, but I don't get why you are so down on Beal. The Wiz just drafted a kid who is a good shooter, but will still make the extra pass to the open shooter, plays defense, rebounds and is a high character player. Everything that we could ask for in a shooting guard unlike the clowns we've had here recently. On top of which, this team is better having gotten rid of some of the players from last year (hopefully Blatche will follow out the door) and replacing them with solid veterans that will defend, rebound and contribute some offensively.

I would have settled for a future 1st round pick over the next few years. Good GMs accumulate assets as they improve their teams. It still amazes me that we actually gave them a draft pick in that trade.

If we don't make the playoffs, I expect Ted to clean house GM and coach-wise based on what he is on record of saying. Hopefully this is a response to the negative outcry of keeping Ernie around.

Even though I don't love the trade we made with New Orleans, this team is significantly better on paper. It's a much smarter/professional/higher character team with talent that should play some good defense. Of course a lot will depend on the improvement of John Wall and the rest of the young players.

I don't think there is any doubt that this team should be a playoff caliber team next year. Depending on cost, I would like a veteran three point shooter or point guard (preferably another player with playoff experience) on the team that can come off the bench cause I want a veteran or two coming off the bench with these young guys as part of the second unit. If we don't have that, I wouldn't mind Ariza coming off the bench maybe in a 6th man role. David Stern does a good job with the booing. It's basically a tradition now.

Forget PJIII. The Wiz need to move up and get Doron Lamb. Keep the shooters coming in and he is a long rang specialist.

I hope the Wiz keep the pick and I wouldn't mind Draymond Green depending on who is still on the board. I think he could be a good rotation player and it would continue the new theme of high character guys.

I actually didn't like what he said. I wanted him to say that the Wizard will coach him up on things he has to get better on. I'm nitpicking but it's what I like to hear from coaches considering the track record the Wiz currently have on young players getting better.

I'm surprised there haven't been any announced trades at this point.

I really wish Ernie had pried the #10 pick from New Orleans for taking on those two contracts.
