    This team doesn't need any projects, it needs guys to be able to produce with Wall and Beal from the get go.

    Why do people on this board like Len? I watched the state/Maryland game last week and was completely unimpressed with him. I was expecting him to potentially dominate but he didn't seem at all quick nor really have much of an offensive game.

    The most damning part of that article is that everyone except Ted and Ernie know how bad things are in Washington and that players would be better not playing there.

    Haven't you ever played a sport before? No such thing as a brilliant game if you choke at the end during the most critical time of the game. John Wall would tell you the same thing.

    So, hypothetically, if wall doesn't improve his shooting and is basically a 16pt, 10 assist guy, is he a max contract player? Or is he simply a max player cause the Wizards don't have any choice given they suck and have to overpay to keep him here?

    I get that, but it's only for one more year than what they would get back from the Wiz. More importantly, they will need someone in return that they think can fill some of the scoring void left by Rudy Gay. It just doesn't make sense for them to do a straight up deal.

    I don't see why Memphis would want any expensive big guys in return in a straight up deal which would mean any deal would almost certainly involve Beal.

    It's not about next year. It means they crush the cap for the 2014 free agent class which is supposed to be the best in years. I would guess they if they are serious about trying to get Rudy Gay that management wants him to be apart of the long term and not just for the next two years. This team sucks and they are eliminating future flexibility.

    Vesley will never be any good and won't ever have meaningful minutes on a good team. He really doesn't do enough to warrant minutes on any decent team. Deniers may hope otherwise, but the writing is on the wall.

    If you are Ernie, you take the deal and give them a first round draft pick.

    I'm not just blaming him, I'm blaming the organization. I'm not doubting your reports, but I don't understand why they had him doing absolutely nothing. I get no lower body work and if it was the off season it would be different, but if everyone was hoping for him to come back this season then putting extra weight on a bad knee doesn't make a lot of sense to me. And your right, if he isn't focused on cardio, he will pay for it to some degree. I just think it was excessive weight gain from the looks of it.

    Again, that's simply not true. A modified diet and cardio work without involving his lower body is possible and should be expected. It's not like he just put on 5 lbs over a few months.

    That's completely false. There is cardio work that could be done without using your lower body. Swimming for one. Oh, and maybe he could be eating better.

    I'm really glad the NBA never calls traveling cause I swear he ends up taking about 3 or 4 steps when he gets the ball and before he starts dribbling. It's kinda garbage that he wasn't given the and 1 cause he definitely drew a foul against Perkins.
