  1. All they call this is a "stress injury" which means, according to the initial reports, that it's an injury that could lead to a fractured patella from training too much. It's not even a fracture at this point. The fact that this has happened already, at age 22, and it's not healing so he can't jump let alone practice at all. This screams reoccurring injury to me.
  2. I don't think he will be a superstar because I don't trust guys in the NBA coming back from serious knee injuries. Particularly when your biggest asset is your athleticism.
  3. I'm not talking about trading Harden away, I'm talking about trading any and every other good player for one superstar if you had a team that was making the playoffs as a lower seed, like the Knicks and Clippers both did. It's just laughable that you are taking the position that Harden isn't a boarderline great player already at the age of 23.That makes him a Max player to a franchise like the Wiz that struggle to get guys to come here. What more do you want out of a player because there are maybe two or three players in the entire league that can take a poor team like the Wiz and make them a playoff/championship contender by themselves. The list begins and end with LeBron and Durant. Harden would be a great start to any franchise building a team. Will he win us a championship on his own, of course not, but he could be a big time contributor to a championship team.
  4. If you don't start somewhere, you won't get anywhere. The Wizards haven't started anything and will continue to get nowhere. Give me a team that competes for a lower half playoff seed anytime over what we have now. Then you have the opportunity to do what some teams have done and traded a few good players for one superstar.
  5. With the collection of players currently on this team, why does flexibility to re-sign guys become a priority over a player like James Harden. Harden is better than everybody on the roster, including Wall. In fact, given Wall's injury, there is no telling if he will be an effective player in this league again. He thrived with his athletic ability and now he has a very serious knee injury. If this organization won't start building around a guy like Harden, who will they build around?
  6. I would argue that the last 12 months for the Wizards has been as bad as run for a GM as there has been in pro sports in a long time. First we trade for a player in Nene that was not completely healthy and has a ton of money left on his contract. Then we trade for two players on the downside of their careers and we end up giving up a second round pick instead of receiving compensation for helping a team clear cap space. Finally, I'm still shocked that we actually had the opportunity to land Harden and we didn't. It's utterly ridiculous that we didn't. That would have been a huge steal for this team and frankly anyone suggesting it's good that we didn't land him...well, let's hear what the plan is to rebuild this team. Seriously, who will come here as a free agent that would be better than Harden?
  7. The Wall injury is a much bigger story than how bad this team currently sucks. We've seen how one knee injury set back this franchise a few years ago and now our young rising superstar can't even jump after three months off. At this point, there is no reason for him to play this season and they might as well just acknowledge that. Better he come back 100% than too soon.
  8. Kinda cool to see the scoring numbers change in the play by play.
  9. Putting that aside for a minute cause we know how bad the Wiz are: it was 82-29. I have never seen a score like that in an NBA in my lifetime.
  10. At least for one night, it could have been worse. OKC was beating Charlotte 82-29 at one point tonight with 5 minutes left in the 3rd. It's since been closed to a 40 point difference in the 4th.
  11. This should be the scariest of the season so far for all Wiz fans. Our still very young star player already having knee problems.
  12. Maybe people here don't realize how bad 95% of rookies tend to play their 1st season and how little they really contribute. I'm not just talking about non-lottery picks, I'm talking lottery and many top-5 picks as well. For all the talk of how good Waiter's is doing: He's averaging 15 points on 38% shooting with 2 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game. Not exactly lighting it up and that's with having more talent around him than the Wiz.
  13. Let us know when you want the Wizards and their players to start winning. You are such a hater is ridiculous.
  14. but Harden has good reason for that while Beal doesn't. Beal sucks!!!
  15. Since the Wiz suck and we will all repeat the same things, from a basketball strategy stand point if your Charlotte, why would you have Walker make the 2nd free throw at the end after missing the first? If he misses, it becomes a full court heave if you even get the shot off. By making it, they were still only up two and we were taking a three regardless and ended up with a decent look after the inbound pass. Am I missing something?
  16. Why don't you just admit that you want him to fail so you can wake around and tell us how you were right about Beal? Your hate for him is so obvious. Yes, a 19 year old kid is struggling but he is filling up the stat sheet in other ways yet he should already be an all-star in your eyes.

  18. Neither EG or Wittman are going anywhere anytime soon. Ted's most recent blog says just that: http://www.tedstake.com/ He is in total denial about the state of this franchise and his general manager. It's going to be a long, long season.
  19. Everyone is in complete agreement. If you were the GM, which coach would you want and which players would you target for a trade?
  20. What's done is done and now there is no reason to trade him now. The problem going forward is that the Wiz have no cap space next off season to pursue upgrades like a Josh Smith or Paul Millsap that can give Wall guys to run pick and rolls with and take over some of the scoring load.
  21. We need a strong, accomplished coach to come to DC. Personally, I would love to see Jerry Sloan. I know he's 70 now, but we need structure and discipline. I think it would help Wall a lot and it would negate all the crap that's happened so far in Washington.
  22. There is absolutely no reason to trade Wall or Beal. They can both be big contributors to this franchise.
  23. How can the game be better now than in the 90's and early 2000's and at the same time not be as good as when there were great centers playing? The 90's had some great centers. So one key argument for one and done not being the problem is that they become role players in the NBA. That's fine if that's their objective. Seriously though, DA's article said Kendrick Perkins was a star. In what world is that player a star? ---------- Post added November-16th-2012 at 06:24 PM ---------- It really is especially with 6 months of the basketball season to be played but it's either these decisions or we can just cut and paste the same posts after every game about how much the Wizards suck and EG sucks and Ted sucking as the Wizards owner.
  24. Nick Young was not expected to come in and be some great shooting guard for the Wizards but the main reason we disagree is our views regarding the quality of basketball in the NBA these days. I don't think the quality of play in the NBA is very good at all. ---------- Post added November-16th-2012 at 05:14 AM ---------- Thanks for the info on Wall's contract. As far as DA's article: Look at the guys he considers "professionals" or "stars." Most of the professionals we couldn't wait to get rid of when they were on the Wizards cause they sucked and the stars, while some put up stats on bad teams and others have earned big contracts, who has won anything on that list? Two guys really and neither were huge post season contributors when they won titles. Does Blatche add to the quality of the NBA?
