  1. How so? Was Fox News in the tank for Biden in 2020 when it's polling showed Joe consistently ahead?
  2. Don't read this Fergasun: https://dnyuz.com/2024/03/02/voters-doubt-bidens-leadership-and-favor-trump-times-siena-poll-finds/
  3. For a long time my mom would take the train down from Philly into Union Station on game days, we'd go to a restaurant in the city, and then pass by RFK on the way to Landover. One time we were at a light at RFK and the person next to me rolls down their window and asks "is that FedEx Field?" I responded, "No, that stadium in front of us is where the Redskins used to actually win games."
  4. Can't you still go to McDonalds or Chick Fil A and get a combo and be out of there for like $11-12 at most? Now if you're talking Five Guys, that's a different story. Do they still even call Five Guys "fast food" anymore (even though it basically is)?
  5. I hear the gift shops in Vegas hotels don't even have prices for stuff. Just charge depending on the day and time. What crap this has become
  6. Allahpundit's case for replacing Biden: https://www.aol.com/news/least-bad-option-230546212.html
  7. Yeah, MTG would be suicide. They'll go with Noem or Stefanik. That said, if Trump wins and serves his full term, Don Jr would be the initial favorite for the 2028 nomination if he wanted it.
  8. I have this naive thought that all Trump wants to do is win the 2024 election so he can claim that "see, the 2020 election was rigged" (and unfortunately most people will believe him) and then he'll step aside at the very latest by sometime in 2026.
  9. Of course in most cases that is true, but this country has never had anything close to someone running for reelection to the highest office in the land at age 82. I think Biden even admitted that he wouldn't be running for reelection if the GOP had ditched Trump.
  10. Not many people foresaw that either of the 2020 candidates would be their party's nominee this go around.
  11. Costas should be training his fire not on Biden or the Dem Party, but rather on the fickle-ass voting public. Someone posted in one of these threads a screenshot of a CNN poll showing that only 16 percent of the respondents felt worse off economically, but I'm assuming the same people, when asked how the US was doing economically, only 16 percent said it was doing good or fair. As the poster said "make this make sense." And again, the Biden problem is more of a Kamala Harris problem, as the perception is that she's not up to the task. But good luck asking someone what their problem is with her and expecting a coherent answer.
  12. You really have to wonder what the Fox News viewer is thinking as they are watching this nonsense. Again, we are so far gone that we'll never again have consensus agreement on who won a presidential election: https://twitter.com/mmpadellan/status/1761722713855373697/mediaViewer?currentTweet=1761722713855373697&currentTweetUser=mmpadellan
  13. That's the worst part about this whole thing. If Trump wins (and I think he will) in November, that percentage will only increase.....not only for GOP voters, but for independents as well. Never mind the factors of covid stimmy inflation and that voters are afraid that Kamala Harris will become president. The confidence in our elections will just become less and less. Might as well have a January 6 every four years.
  14. I can't say I'm at all knowledgeable about hockey, but it seems really tough. Coaches don't seem to last long with teams. Connor McDavid has only been to one conference finals so far in his career. It did take Trotz four seasons to get the Caps over the top. But when he did, you needed to find a way to keep him just for sake of goodwill. I feel bad for Todd Reirden, who succeeded Trotz and had a couple very good regular seasons, but couldn't get it done in the playoffs. And in a league where half the teams have made the playoffs for a long time, Ted might've done well to maybe not raise ticket prices seemingly every single season for the Caps. And Leonsis seems to have done nothing to improve the ****show that is the Wizards.
  15. If anyone is going to one of the in-person relocation events, would be interested to hear of any visible upgrades at the stadium.
  16. So the Skins are 6th from the bottom in the NFL. That's pretty much what they penciled out to for the entirety of Snyders ownership. A good number of around .500 seasons with three craptastic ones (2014, 2029, 2023) with no monster seasons to offset them.
  17. I'd say 200 level on either sideline and the club level (300s) are the best places to sit. As far as what to do at the stadium.....short of finding a good tailgate, FedEx does not have a lot to offer, IMO.
  18. Allahpundit's take on Haley: https://news.yahoo.com/acceptance-stage-234554659.html And yeah, Arroyo is a clown. Unbelievable to see someone who has been on the Catholic network EWTN going on Fox and slurping Trump. Nice example you are, Raymond.
  19. Be curious to know who leaked the "she's a **** to work for" narrative that seemed to stick. She never really got traction...probably seen as too bland. Seem to recall she had a decent showing in NH, but after that the field decided to coalesce behind Joe. Wouldn't be surprised if Amy is part of the 2028 field. Dems will have a cast of characters ready to run against Don Jr
  20. All the naysayers were predicting from Jan 2017 that Biden would not finish his term. I did not believe that. However, if he were to win at 82 next year, there is more legitimate concern that he will not be able to finish his second term. And a good number of people, for various reasons, do not feel confident that the current VP would be up to the task. Do people feel more confident about voting for Biden if he dumps Harris and brings in some else on the ticket? Can he still do that up until the convention? What are the political risks in doing so?
  21. Nate Silver sounding the alarm bells about Biden: Again, it seems like the real concern is not necessarily with Biden at present, but the real possibility that he won't make it through his second term. And the public has been led to believe that Kamala Harris is not capable. Therefore, can Biden at this point remove her from the ticket before the convention and pick someone as a running mate that would be more amenable to voters?
  22. And any other coach under the previous owner at that time would've been fired after that 2006 season.
