Recommended Posts

Career Highlights

Brown is a young, hard-working player who joined the Redskins midway through 2004. He spent his 2003 rookie season with the Buffalo Bills. He is an experienced kickoff and punt return specialist and was a standout wide receiver at West Virginia.

NFL Acquisition: Brown was signed as an undrafted free agent with the Buffalo Bills in April 2003.

How Acquired: Brown was signed by the Redskins as an unrestricted free agent on Nov. 3, 2004.

2004: Brown served mostly as a punt returner, hauling in 10 punts for an 8.9-yard return average. He also returned one kickoff 66 yards.

Brown saw his first action of the season in Week 15 at San Francisco and he recorded three punt returns for eight yards.

In Week 16 at Dallas, Brown recorded four punt returns for 59 yards, with a long of 39 yards.

In the season finale against Minnesota, Brown returned the opening kickoff 66 yards to set up a touchdown. He also returned three punts for 22 yards.

2003 Earned a spot on the Buffalo Bills' 53-man roster with an electrifying preseason in which he had an 87-yard punt return and a 75-yard punt return for a touchdown. He went on to appear in all 16 games as the Bills' primary return man on kickoffs and punts.

Finished the year with 1,046 yards on 48 kickoffs. The yardage total ranks as the fourth highest in Bills history.

Also recorded 111 yards on 25 punt returns.

Had a career-long kickoff return of 75 yards to open the second half of the season finale at New England.

Goodbye Chad Morton maybe we can trade him back to the Jets for I don't know maybe Abraham LOL. This guy was unbelievable in his second game last year, the last game of the year. With Moss, Patten, Jacobs on the field there would be (4) sub 4.4 receiver plus Clinton Portis in the backfield. A little West Coast offensive set maybe.

Remember SPEED KILLS.

According to AdamJT13 (posted on KFFL board in 2003), Brown has run a hand-timed 40 at 4.18.

And the current NFL players who have been HAND-TIMED in 4.18 seconds or less in the NFL or college, as reported by legitimate sources --

Randal Williams 4.04

Joey Galloway 4.15

Randy Moss 4.15

DeAngelo Hall 4.15

Trung Canidate 4.16

Laveranues Coles 4.16

(Deion Sanders 4.17 -- not a current player, yet)

Donte Stallworth 4.17

Ahman Green 4.18

Antonio Brown 4.18

Interesting that he has Trung and Coles at 4.16. Oh well, that's hand timing for you. Add 0.2 for a real time. ;)

Still pretty fast, though.

Although that fumble in the Dallas game didn't hurt us, we shut them down and they punted, it certainly could have. I hope they work with him regarding covering the football in a crowd and then placing it in it's more natural position once out in open field. He ran right into the Dallas wedge and allowed a player to punch it out of his hands. He should have been covering with both hands.

 Are we using some guy on another message board as the basis of discussion?

Seriously, the thread title isn't relevant to the discussion. :wtf:

With Santana Moss and James Thrash assured roster spots...Morton is done!
