footballhenry
Okay i know its very very early, but after lookin over the teams this year here is my prediction thread for the playoffs (course ill prob make another one come august): #1 seed-Philadelphia Eagles (12-4) #2 seed-Carolina Panthers (11-5) #3 seed-Minnesota Vikings (10-6) #4 seed-Arizona Cardinals (9-7) #5 seed-WashingtonRedskins(10-6):logo: #6 seed-Atlanta Falcons (9-7) --------------------------------------- Dallas Cowboys (9-7) New York Giants (9-7) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9-7) this is not a very scientific approach, just my :2cents:
VaSkinsNut
10-6 is homeristic in my view.
Bucaro
It's pretty hard to have an entire division with records above .500. That would be unusual

Darth Tater
Doesn't matter who we play. Anything less than 12-4 is NOT homeristic. Any prediction between 11-5 and 7-9 falls within the range of solid realism.
Cherusker
You underestimate Atlanta. With a healthy Vick they should win the division. 10 wins for us? I like optimistic people and I hope you´re right but a little bit of realism says 9 wins. It´s a very tough schedule by the way.
TheGreek1973
I say also we finish 11-5. It all depends really on how we play our division. Call me crazy but I think we beat the Giants twice and the Cowpukes at least once. Philly we may sneak one win, depends how good our D is. If it is as good as last year (and I think it should be better) I say we also split with philly leaving us with a 4-2 record. Then I say we may lose 3 more but I bet all will be close games. Don't know why Arizona gets this high marks from people. I say its an easy W for us because Gibbs seems to know how to beat them (just take a look at Vikings last season. Gibbs has never lost to them).

RedskinzOwnU
REDSKINS WILL GET A WILDCARD SPOT THIS YEAR!!! I CAN FEEL IT
Chris Worthy
I like our odds. The First year Back for Gibbs Arua has worn off now, and alot of people wont be looking for us to do anything.
Warhead36
I'll take it but I think we're more on the 8-8 to 9-7 range.
Brother Redskin
So let me get this straight. NFC EAST Eagles 12-4 Redskins 10-6 Cowboys 9-7 Giants 9-7 highly unlikely but I like you optimism. and to the poster who said we could realisticly go 7-9 to 11-5 why not just say we could be between 0-16 and 16-0 that you can 100% bank on. last year I saw us between 7-9 and 9-7 which I thought was possible. this year I'll go with the same and say 8-8. hercules
10-6 next year? That sounds about right to me.
terpfan
I'm surprised no one has commented on the playoff bound Cardinals yet. That's a gutsy pick.
GangstaSkinz
8-8, 9-7 or 10-6 are great bets. anything less than .500 is unacceptable.
footballhenry
its funny how 9-7 is realistic and 10-6 is homeristic....hahaha....its ONE game....course next week my feelings may change regarding other teams but i fully well expect a 10-6 record next yr:) for the skins:logo:
fpickering
I don't think I agree with your predictions but thanks for starting an interesting topic. I think there will be a lot of teams competing for the playoffs this next season. Here are the teams that should be in the mix in my opinion: Philadelphia (11-5) Atlanta (10-6) Carolina (9-7) Minnesota (9-7) Green Bay (9-7) St. Louis (9-7) Washington (9-7) New Orleans (8-8) Arizona (8-8) *Seattle (7-9) *if Shaun Alexander is traded. Doozinbrah
San Francisco- W Arizona - W Seattle - L St. Louis -L Oakland -L Denver -W San Diego-L Kansas City-W Chicago-W Tampa Bay-W Dallas-w Dallas-L Giants-W Giants-W Philly-L Philly-W There is my 10-6 Prediction give or take 2 games. I think we could potentially lose to Denver and KC. But, I also think we could win at St. Louis. Any thoughts?

Here is where I differ with you: 1. Win over STL 2. Win over Oakland 3. Loss to Denver 4. Loss to TB 5. Split with Giants To end up at 9-7. Note, there is a slight chance that there is +1 game due to homerism.
TaylorPickSix
1. Philly (12-4) 2. Atlanta (11-5) 3. Seattle (11-5) 4. Minnesota (10-6) 5. Carolina (10-6) 6. Washington (10-6) Washington over Seattle Minnesota over Carolina Philly over Washington Atlanta over Minnesota Philly over Atlanta Yep...they make it back. And this time, they win it. Damn Eagles... Doozinbrah
You really think we split with the Giants? Your predictions may be on but I still think we win at TB

TODD
7-9 next year... I feel a transition in power in the NFC next year, however. I still think Philly will dominate (14-2, 15-1?), but I think we're going to see some quality Saints and Lions teams and some improvement from Seattle and maybe the Giants. footballhenry
Originally posted by NYSkins1 Yeah, I noticed that, too. I'm interested to see the logic behind it. Alright...well I think that Cards should be much better this year and make the playoffs because they have a very good coach. They have an awesome QB, sorry but Kurt Warner can still play, the man is beast when hes on and i think if given the chance he can and will star again. They have very solid wr's. They showed ALOT of improvement last year. I just think that they are the sleeper next yr, really. (and us of course)
