jimster
this is good. Now Tampa will probably not be able to afford to go after Alexander and will take a RB in the draft, therefor Williams will still be there when we pick if we go that route, plus they will hopefully will still want Gardner
Sanders 83
Good news that Hassleback and Alexander are taken off the market. Hassleback probably wouldn't have been an UFA, but I would rather see Bledsoe in a Dallas jersey, and Alexander not in a Philly jersey.

SkinsNut73
Good. I just didn't want to see Alexander end up with the Eagles. That was my biggest fear this offseason. Now I can just fret about who our starting WR's will be. I feel much better now.
sjinhan
wow The newspaper, citing sources close to negotiations, reported that the team will hold a press conference Tuesday to announce the signing. Hasselbeck, a Pro Bowler in 2003, reportedly was seeking a deal similar to Chad Pennington's. The Jets quarterback signed a seven-year extension for $64 million. The deal included combined bonus money of $23 million, all guaranteed. With an 83.1 rating last season, Hasselbeck was the league's 17th-rated passer. He completed 58.9 percent of his passes for 3,382 yards, with 22 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. He is also the highest-rated passer in team history, ahead of Dave Krieg. just wow at the SB... for 17th rated passer ( i thought he would have been higher)... NavyDave
Good to hear that about Alexander, and the packers will have to find another heir apparent to Favre
wskin44
Alexander could still be traded.
da#1skinsfan
PHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its likely the Eagles, with tons of cap room, sign him as a FA. Its unlikely they trade for him...Andy likes his Eagles, and also likes young blood in drafts.
jimster
I would think the Eagles will draft a RB in the first since this year RB's are pretty deep.
