What are you going by when you referr to Kevin being better?
3CardMonte
Kevin Jones has missed some time and only played a little in other games like 2 carries against Philly before he was hurt. He only has 50 more carries but his avg is 4.8 per. But more than that its just what I see when I watch them play. 3Card

Arsenic
Someone tell Portis about this discussion. We all seen what happened in the NY game. Break out the belt, Portis!
Aikmaniac
Let's just say that we're all, as Cowboys fans, pretty excited about Julius Jones as you guys are with Clinton. Good luck Sunday.

skins1972
Jones will have too many injuries through out his future career..Portis seems to me that has Balance issues, he cant stay on his feet going through the holes and keep slipping and falling down. I suggest a ballet course off season(not being funny) just to gain balance. :wewantd: :dallasuck :point2sky
Chachie
As of today I think anyone would take Portis over Jones in a fantasy draft. However, Dallas' running GAME is better than ours. With our offensive line not being very good, it'll take both Portis AND Betts to make it happen.
xanathos19
I can't believe we're talking about Julius Jones and even comparing him to CP on this board. Jones has had, what, 3 or 4 good games? When he rushes for 1500 yards, possible three years in a row, maybe we can talk about how good JJ is.

JJ also has slightly better vision, as when Ive watched Portis, he doesnt wait for the hole much, he charges into the spot where he is supposed to go and hopes there is a hole. YOu even watch the game last week and two weeks ago.. They even showed a replay of how portis is good and fitting his body anywhere.. He doesn't need a hole, he needs an oline. Destino
Portis needs to build his upper body because he goes down way to easy when grabbed up high. There is no reason ANY back should be pulled backwards off his feet by a defensive back. That's entirely unacceptable for a player that lines up in the backfield. Jones runs with much more power then Portis does but he doesn't have the cut back ability of Portis. In fact it's not even close. His cut back runs have been behind blockers, Portis cuts back and simply runs past the linebacker before he can change direction. And let's not forget the most telling facts; Portis has done this for 3 years while Jones has yet to play half a season without injury.

Its the sound of any shred of credability you had left going down the toilet. Anyone who has watched both play can easily see JJ has much better cut back ability, in fact its not even close, you are right. I mean...wow....have you even watched Portis, ever? Half the time when he gets in trouble in the backfield he just falls down. He doesnt have neaer as quick of feet as JJ.

Right.....this is why Portis made a name for himself with zone blocking allowing him to....wait for it....cut back. While Jones has had what? 4 good games? I'd flush but you didn't have an credibility to drop in the toilet.
