pjfootballer
I think what happened was, when the US dominated in 1992, most of those players were older players and were at the end of their careers. Then in the late 90's until now, there were no players to take their place. Most of the newer players on the 96, 00 and 04 teams were young. During that time, the rest of the world had their veteran players at their peak. Now, I think the tide is shifting again. Alot of the foreign players are showing their age in the NBA, while we have a young nucleus of Redd, Paul, Bosh, Howard, James, Wade, Williams and such, that they are going to dominate again. Think about it, China has Yow (maybe Yi Julian), Spain's players are getting older, Germany has Dirk who is older and Argentina's players are showing age also. I think it will be cyclicle from here on out. Depends on the talent that grows up.
