A Cowboy fan, the first to report Redskin news ?
Whats up with that ?

Hey, tell Marty, that along with Raymer and Alexander, he can take Bennett, Greer, Banks, and all his other pet players

[ March 15, 2002, 01:13 AM: Message edited by: Mick ]

hehe...

Well, with Alexander spending the past few days out at The Ranch, he's become of interest to us Cowboy fans. Surprised he would get that much guaranteed money considering some of the injury/consistency concerns. Oh well

Most of us in Big D are hoping like heck we bring in Freddie Jones for a look. I'm quite surprised he's only drawn interest from the Cardinals and Bengals in Free Agency so far.

Freddie Jones is likely demanding money not often spent on a TE. He would be a coup for Dallas (or anyone else) right now but getting him signed without pushing the cap will be tough. Don't know how many teams with that much room are looking to spend it all at TE before the draft.

Doesn't Schotty like his TEs to black?

Prediction: Week 3, one block will end up shattering Alexander's ankle. Then Marty will try to convince Seau to give TE another try.

I have no ill will for Marty. This just proves that he's a chucklehead GM, and that Mr. Snyder was right to dump he and the extended family.

what did I tell you guys about San Diego?

Marty DID learn something while in DC. That the guys he had chastised for being undisciplined and too soft were actually players he found out he might be able to win with if he had taken a slightly different tack at quarterback and with his draft picks after Smoot.

Alexander could be a 60 catch tight end for Drew Brees.

He could also get hurt and miss the entire 2003 season, that's why giving him even the mid-range bonus of $3 million is a gamble.

But if you are SD and were 1-15 just two years ago, what have you got to lose?

what is it with our TE busts, first jamie asher, now stephen alexander. he did show promise, but like westbrook, he always thought he was a much better player than he really was. he did zip under marty, why does he want him so badly? go ahead marty, take him. we'll see who has the last laugh.
oh yeah, ps marty: we would love to work something out with banks while your at it.
hail
