webnarc
When did Miller stop trying to be funny? http://homepage.mac.com/duffyb/iMovieTheater127.html And even if you agree with Alterman's position, it doesn't make for good comedy.
@DCGoldPants
Miller isn't funny at all any more. He seems like a total Kiss Ass. He used to rip everybody....now he can't do it when they are sitting next to him. Like a Jim Rome Jr.
Kilmer17
He still is funny. Just not during most of this show. It's not intended to be funny.
Kilmer17
BTW, I enjoyed Altermans book. Didnt agree with his conclusions, but it was a well written book.
Hooper
What the **** was that? Miller realizes he's overmatched by the facts and his guest's intellect, so he just starts acting like a five-year-old. That was just plain sad.
SEF
Alterman wrote on his web log that Miller called him and apologized. Miller's in way over his head. He should stick to making movies about vampire hookers.
@DCGoldPants
Miller tried to crack jokes on his show, I watched a few times the 1st couple of weeks, it just struggled. Cable News Magazine Debate, etc, etc show? Dumb.
Iggle in Exile
If you think Miller is bad, wait until John McEnroe's show on CNBC starts. I can see him making Dennis Miller look like Dick Cavitt. I loved Mac as a tennis player, but as a TV show host?
Destino
Miller played the part of the modern Bush supporter very well. Who cares that the same people in the administration today supported Saddam's mass murder, we believe they care about the people of Iraq all of the sudden. Joe Sick
Dennis Miller has to pay his audience to come in and listen to his show. That about says it all. I've watched a couple of times. His interview w/ Jeb was pitiful. Sigh. He used to be funny on SNL and standup, then tried movies and failed. So now, he is just a sell-out.
