NavyDave
On Madden 2004 What playbook do you recommend besides the current spurrier one that is close to Joe Gibbus maximus?
Art
Use the Rams. It's the closest you'll find.
Buddha
Run Heavy would be closer if it had some halfway decent pass plays.
Posse81
I think KC would be a good one.

I use Spurrier's because of the spread-type offense. But Green Bay's is a ball control/power running style. Do you play online?
Art
If you want a Gibbs-style offense, you pick the Rams. Same coaching tree that leads to it. Just add a few more running plays.

(don't remember all of them) There was something the other day talking about all the different offenses in the NFL that are based on Gibb's original offense. The difference is what part of the offense the teams favor, example the rams favor the pass the most.
jmwills1
Im just pissed that i left my madden 2004 at home. I had all the changes but when i left to come back to college, i left it. What a boneheaded move
Darth Tater
I use the run-heavy. I actually get a more reliable passing game although much fewer big-plays (with Spurrier offense I either got a big play or got stuffed) and get a real good running game. I'll try the Rams. Thing that'll probably cause Madden (or any of those types of games) to really go crazy is that the Gibbs' offense is not set-piece. Can you imagine trying to program in the Explode Packages (SB against Miami)?
SonnyJ
What about the Dolphin playbook with Turner?
jrfriedm
I use the regular Spurrier, but I just use all two back power running plays up the middle with a few to the out side.
NotInOurHouse
theres actually a playbook tailored to gibbs and that is the run and gun which he actually calls his offense
GorditoShawn
Mike Tice runs a Gibb's like system. I think Mike Martz has moved away from a Gibb's offense because his preference to throw the ball first and use the running back as a recieving threat. VaSkinsNut
Rams Mixed with the Falcons - the keeper plays.
JeffSchmeff
I haven't played as them in Madden, but from what I understand, the Carolina Panthers run the closest thing to a Gibbs offense you will see in the NFL. Dan Henning (their o coordinator) was on a couple of the Skins Superbowl teams. I got this from carolinapanthers.com: A valued member of Joe Gibbs staff at Washington in the 1980's, he assisted in the Redskins drives to Super Bowl XVII and XXII titles. During that time, he played an integral role in helping Theismann and Williams to some of their best pro seasons. http://www.carolinapanthers.com/team/coachbio.jsp?id=1102
