GSF
What is going to happen if Mcnabb slumps, like he does at times, and he can't ge the ball to Owens? Will Owens stand behind him, or will he trash him like he did Garcia? I have no doubt these 2 will be a great combo, but their going to have their tought times like all teams/players do. Will Owens act differently this time since he chose Philly? How long will the honeymoon period last?
JoeSkinsfaninNJ
When McNabb slumps, he'll sleep on the couch those weeks. When his game picks up again, I'm sure TO will invite him back into the bedroom. That's just a guess on my part.
bulldog
the Eagles are under the mistaken impression that Buckhalter is going to turn into a workhorse back for them. He and Westbrook have proven to be brittle the past couple of seasons. even though the Eagles drafted Sheppard and the other youngsters to replace Vincent and Taylor, expect a dropoff from the latters' stellar play in 2004. Vincent was probably the most consistent corner in the NFC East the past 5 or 6 years. It will be hard for Sheppard to match that consistency and Vincent's leadership will be another loss. Skins11
The QBs that have been throwing to Owens are much more accurate than McNabb. Although Garcia has a weak arm he is accurate. I could see Owens getting miffed at times but never actually saying anything public, because he would be ripped to shreds. It's Donovan's team. NoCalMike
TO will be his usual self. TO had nothing really to complain about under Marricci, NOTHING. Living here in SF, and without the TO-to-Eagles-bias that we all now have, I can honestly say TO was just a pr!ck and a spoiled baby during his last few years with the 49ers. It might carry over, it might not. However, if McNabb slumps, don't expect TO to take it with a grain of salt, that is for sure. That first time McNabb scrambles for 3-5 yds, and TO thinks he was wide open downfield, you better believe TO will start ****ing. McNabb to TO will be a good combo, I have no doubt, but it remains to be seen HOW FAR that combo can go when TO has to coexist with a QB's who's instinct is to scramble even for minimal gain, when the slightest bit of pressure creeps up. The X-Factor
I think for once in his career Owens will suck it up and keep quiet. He knows what kind of chance he has with the Eagles and he doesn't want to do anything to screw that up. I also think that he has something to prove to all the doubters out there. Fred Jones
I agree with Lavar, I think TO is going to shut up and play for at least the first season. If the Eagles fail again next year TO will probably revert back to his normal self.

psutrain
what was wrong with Buckhalter last year? He blew his knee out two years ago and they all say it takes a full two years to be back at full strength

His burst wasn't there at the beginning of the season, but was showing signs of returning by the end. He also ended up in Reid's doghouse a couple of times which limited his playing time. Finally, he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer - he missed several blocking assignments causing McNabb to run for his life. That's not a good way to keep Reid happy. Definitely look for the Eagles to get another RB either in the draft or after June 1. They won't go into the preseason with Reno Mahe at #3.
