Art
Gibbs has final say, period, on all roster decisions. But, as for free agent acquisitions during the offseason and draft choices, there will be a three-headed process with Snyder breaking ties. WallyG3
I think we all know who Snyder will side with. I bet he's still rolling around on his office floor giggling like a fool.

Dan T.
Somehow, with one of those three heads being Joe Gibbs, it doesn't sound like a bad idea.

Canyonero!
I don't think Snyder will side with Gibbs 100% of the time. Spurrier was who Snyder wanted so badly before Gibbs, yet he sided with Vinny on a number of different decisions.

riggins44
At the minimum, he won't go against Gibbs the first year. He is going to let him put his team together. Vinny might have a better insight to some of these players than Gibbs, since he hasn't been actively involved for several years.

Art
Actually, I think he'd MUCH more likely to go against Gibbs the first year than following ones. And I bet Gibbs would be ok with that. At this point it's not unreasonable to think Cerrato knows players better than Gibbs after 12 years out of the game. I'd bet Gibbs will even defer early on until he gets back into things. spanishomelette
If Snyder actually decides against Gibbs at some point, I don't expect Gibbs will grouse around about it for an entire season.

WallyG3
Also - Gibbs is now the President. He can fire Vinnie. Oooooh - I wonder if he might talk to Ron Wolfe.

inmate running the asylum
This was about the arrangement that Gibbs had before. Beathard brought in the players with Gibbs input, but Gibbs had final say on who made the team's final roster. Although at the very end of their careers Gibbs and Beathard had some disagreements on personnel. Gibbs wanted to keep some of his old veterans around a little bit longer then Beathard desired. I remember Jack Kent Cooke finally settled the issue.

bubba9497
Danny will be walking on Air until at least Spring training. Joe Gibbs could want to draft Refrigerator Perry, and the Dan will just nod yes.

inmate running the asylum
Gibbs may not "know" the names of players around the league that much, having been out of football for 12 years, but he does recognize talent. One of Gibbs biggest assets is recognizing and judging football skills on the field. After he sees players perform for awhile -- either on the practice field or in the film rooms -- he has an astute eye as to which players have what it takes to contribute something or to excell.
