My wife and kids can only take so much 4th-round OG prospect combine performance analysis, after all. What with lopping off heads out at Ashburn, to bringing in new and improved studs for a look-see as free agency neared, to analyzing the draft within an inch of its' life ... Extremeskins kept pretty busy last year. I'd wager it will this year. My guess is, we'll also find time for lots of OT fun and games. I'll be around. Hope the rest of you will, too. Of course nothing rivals the after game posting, but during the week it felt like there was more discussion. At least last offseason, there was very little "redskins suck, tony banks sucks" and more analysis of draft prospects, analysis of coaching prospects, and plenty of discussion all around. There'll be lots of OT talk along with astounding dissections of the past season. Charting the draft has become almost an art form. And we'll get to hear more possiblilities for NavyDave sandwiches. bulldog Posted December 26, 2001 Share Posted December 26, 2001 Talking about what MAY happen in the future is much more lively than talking about what HAS happened already, so I am betting there will be a LOT to talk about in 3-4 weeks. By then we will see Banks end the season as the qb and will have perhaps a better idea of whether he returns. And what about Marty? At 6-6 he looked redemed, but losing 3 of the past 4 games, most at home is not a way you want to end the season. I wrote a couple of weeks ago after the Dallas game, the Skins may be hard-pressed to go further than 7-9 and it appears the team may indeed reach that mark, unfortunately. Marty may be in some hot water still if the team collapses and loses the last 2 games. Besides, this team has so many free agents to make decisions on that discussions about these players will take up plenty of space in any event. Free agency will begin not too long after the season and there will be a lot of talk about that. We get to actually participate this year. That will lead us all the way up until the draft. Also it will be interesting to see what our former GM does. Then remember we have realignment for 2002. The offseason will be fun this year. There's always hope for the new year. indyskinsfan Posted December 26, 2001 Share Posted December 26, 2001 See Bufford, they on it already This place is as busy during the off-season, as the regular internet sites for ESPN, CBS, FOX, Post, etc. The exchange on the "background" details of players, draft positioning, coaches, off the field events is compelling and interesting. Often funny too, with some exchanges of enjoyable events around the globe, even for guys in Greenland, Iceland, Nova Scotia, Alaska, Europe, Japan, Korea, Middle-East and the Virgin Islands. There have been moments, where some posters here have actually interviewed Marty and some players. O h by the way, there has been some bonding here (not sure if anyone has released an "inner child" or anything , but the down time allows others to communicate on meetings, trips, shopping, special interest. And I agree that Sage unless he is going to get alot of work in Training Camp should go NFLE with D Mac,Ohalete and Skaggs. Saw Anna K photos on Fox News channel this morning but then saw Jewel on VH1 so that plus my freeze framing Tomb Raider babe and Halle on the Swordfish DVD will be among my off season babe topics ------------------ Take A Sip of the Marty KoolAid and Believe.
