Buck Henry, twice nominated for Academy Awards for screenwriting "The Graduate" and for directing "Heaven  Can Wait," died yesterday at age 89.

Henry created, with Mel Brooks,  the hit television comedy "Get Smart."

He hosted SNL 10 times in its early years, and is remembered from those appearances as the straight man to Belushi's Samurai character , father to Bill Murray's "Todd" Deluca in Murray and Gilda Radner's "Nerd" sketches, and creepy pedophile Uncle Roy.

He also posed as president of the Society for Indecency to Naked Animals, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Society_for_Indecency_to_Naked_Animals an elaborate hoax that really pissed off Walter Cronkite when it was exposed.
