Corcaigh
I can't say that I ever considered Beanie Babies as assets for my investment portfolio (unlike Zoony who went all in on Beanie Babies and Olive Garden stock), but here's some fun background on the craze of almost 20 years ago for those who want to reminisce. https://thehustle.co/the-great-beanie-baby-bubble-of-99/
Renegade7
Anyone's little sister make them play beanie babies with them when you were both in elementary school? She even had a couple knock-offs, a one-wing duck named Ducky. I have no idea where they are, I need to ask her (I think they're long since gone). Closest thing that comes to mind just think through my own eyes was Pokemon (who my sister and I both dived into getting most of the original 151, I still have mine). But the comparison to Bitcoin? Man... I'm not rooting for that bubble to crash, but it does feel like a when not if type of thing.

My son found a bunch of them in a closet last year, stuffed them in a suitcase, and took them with him to Honduras as part of a medical relief team. He gave one to each of the child patients from indigent families they treated.
