I must praise you for mastering such a difficult language, acknowledging that some grammar rules are a mistery for many of us Most foreigners decide to give up after a year or two because of the grammar. Here is an example: le petit cheval blanc de Kosher Ham. Now try to explain to a foreigner why you put petit before cheval and blanc after ? while in English all the adjectives come first. I did dated hispanic women too, from Mexico (cielito lindo was the nickname I gave her), Cataluña. Certainly not a horse or white though. No issue. I was simply saying, most folks probably would not know. I will agree that American English is about as hard to learn as Japanese or Chinese.
