TK
http://www.wtnh.com/Global/story.asp?S=1522702 Gannon's season is over Alameda, California-AP -- Last season's N-F-L M-V-P won't finish this season. Oakland quarterback Rich Gannon will have surgery on a torn labrum in his throwing shoulder and miss the rest of the year. The Oakland Raiders placed him on injured reserve today. The 37-year-old quarterback tried to throw yesterday for the first time since getting knocked out of a game on October 20th. Coach Bill Callahan says he could raise his arm, but couldn't release the ball. Gannon previously had shoulder surgery after his 1993 season with Washington. He missed all of the 1994 season and then was released by the Redskins. With backup Marques Tuiasosopo (too-ee-ah-soh-SOH'-poh) also out for the year, Rick Mirer will be the starter for the last seven games. Copyright 2003 Associated Press. All rights reserved. Canadian Hog
Yeah, I'm guessing that Rob Johnson will be able to show the Raiders a thing or two about surfing. That's the only logical reason why I can see them wanting him.
Riggo-toni
Stop knocking on Rob J. That whole looking left thing while the play is supposed to go right, is that really such a bad thing? If he didn't have such a bad history w/ the Raiduhs, I could see them picking up George, except as we all know, ol' Jeffy sucks in the WCO. bulldog
when that Super Bowl was over I think everyone but Al Davis knew it was time to break up this geriatric team and start over again. now at 2-7, the Raiders just put off the rebuilding process till 2004 while their 2003 season got flushed down the toilet. Riggo-toni
So true, BullDog. And now they're gonna have cap issues coinciding with a collapse in personnel :moon:
