HittinSkinz
I look at the schedule and I don't see Redskin team being .500 again till the start of next season when we are 0-
GB81
And Dan Snyder is healthy. Not sure how this team will ever be good with him as the owner. He's pissed off Spurrier and in the process, has probably turned off many future coaching prospects. (At least Jerry Jones had played big time college football.) I believe this is my rock bottom for the '03 season.
Kilmer17
Pissed him off? How? By signing the players Spurrier said he needed? Some of you guys look to blame Snyder for everything. I blame him for bringing in and keeping Spurrier around. But saying he's the problem because he pissed Spurrier off is ignorant.
TD_washingtonredskins
HittinSkinz (great name BTW) I totally agree with you. I mean, I'm an optimist so I'm sure by November 2 I'll have convinced myself that they'll turn it around. But objectively, they really shouldn't contend with the next few opponents on their schedule...and that in itself is just sad.
GB81
He is regularly involved in personnel matters. It has been widely reported by reputable news sources (not just Pete Prisco) that Spurrier expressed displeasure with Snyder being involved in personnel matters. I think Snyder's involvement and reputation will prevent the Skins from hiring a top level coach once Spurrier quits.

HittinSkinz
i hate to say it...but seattle and Dallas... are 2 losses. I know anything can happen on any given sunday, but those two teams have Mike Holmgren and Bill parcells respectively. NuFF said

NASMTrainer
I said it in an earlier post, if we continue to play like this, not getting better, we will lose the next 5.
TD_washingtonredskins
and losing the next 5 means we'd be on an 8 GAME LOSING STREAK....that's grounds for firings....no ifs ands or buts.

SnydertheHun
The only Hittinskinz you'll see is on this website. Don't blame Snyder. He did everything right this offseason. We have more talent than many teams and much less production. That's a coaching issue.
GB81
Here is the MSNBC link--reports that Comcast reported the story as well: http://www.msnbc.com/news/981979.asp The Post reported the story--link is dead--but now just has the sPurrier denial. And Mort reported it on Countdown. It is all from the Prisco story and the subsequent Comcast story. The story has not exactly been flying under the radar. fansince62
nonsense on the top coaches...there's some future Parcells working as an assistantr coach right now (maybe a NE assistant) who would jump at the opportunity: ML went to the bungles after all. Anything is possible. Snyder derserves blame for never bringing in an NFl insider to be GM. It's like he and his folks attack bits and pieces of a problem, but never have a strategy that moves them to a complete solution - one that fits the scheme. he needs to move on....... TD_washingtonredskins
I would agree with that. I think the GM issue is resurfacing now. Not that we didn't get good players this offseason, but the GM also helps with coaching talent too...and that could be where we're losing some of these games. GB81
Would you want to work for Snyder--given the list of teams that will be shpopping for coaches this offseason? Atlanta, San Diego, the Giants...I'll go work for Wellington Mara before I deal with Snyder--yeah, Snyder will offer more money, but that's it. Yesterday it was widely reported that we were looking to trade Gardner and a 2nd rounder for TO. But one look at our cap #s will tell you we could not afford him. You seem to have a problem understanding the difference between fact based news and rumor.
