Cut the Crap

The skins will be somewhat competitive this season, but until we get a pass rush we can't expect to beat good teams. The bottom line is games are won in the trenches and our defensive line is just is not good enough to compete and keep our offence in the game. On the other side of the ball our O-line has not gelled yet and Ramsey is fortunate that he he's still in the lineup from all the hits he's taken. Whether it's a false start or a breakdown in protection, a good team does'nt continually breakdown game after game. I love the Skins but I'm also a realist and until we fix whats broken we're very average at best. HTTR!

true, but the good news is that half of that equation can be fixed at any time, at least hypothetically the Redskins have immediate control over whether they keep beating themselves or not, so playoffs is not an unattainable goal. Its also true this team won't be able to compete with the big boys until it can generate a pass rush with the front 4. As great and athletic as our back 7 is, no back 7 is good enough to compensate for a deficiency up front, until you have a rush that can hurry the QB and disrupt a running play your D won't be able to dominate, the fact that our D plays so well in spite of the problems on the line is both a testament to our back 7 and a reflection of the mediocrity permeating the NFL.

The bottom line is that this is yet another season of non-playoff football in an era of parity. Seemingly every other team in the league has atleast been able to hit lightning in a bottle for one season. For us, one 10-6 season in 12 freakin years.

Yes...we sometimes forget we've got a rookie QB.... two new OL... one new WR.... and roughly two new RB. Yet, we're supposed to go out and put 35 on everyone.

Watch the Colts.... that offensive unit knows it's assignments like the back of their hand. They don't make a false movement, seem to always be in their right positions, and execute flawlessly. Then remember, they've been together for 2 - 3 years and have a ProBowl QB/WR combination that know the playbook blindfolded..... and know each other's instincts as if they've got ESP. We're getting there....very slowly.

I agree 100 % canadian jim! :thumb: We of all fans should know that games are won in the trenches, what was the key to our 3 Super Bowl Championships, the Hogs!

The biggest problem is in both the O and D Line!

Calm the F down everybody! I don't remember many of us thought that we would go into the playoffs this year with so much new talent.

The core of this team is signed for a 3 year run. We have seen some big plays against average teams and think that we can do that every game. Keep things in perspective please,if we head into the bye week 4-3 we will be on track.

if we dont beat the bills this weekend then we should really be concerned....in reality we should only be looking at 1 loss.....the tampa game was the only game we were outcoached and out played....the other two losses we beat ourselves....

now why cant andy reid try an onside kick against us?
