skinsmarydu
Very sad to hear this. Deep Purple's "Burn" album is legendary. RIP, Mr. Lord. You will always be a presence in our home.
FuriousD
1971 brought Fireball by Deep Purple, In Search of Space by Hawkwind and Fragile by Yes. And although I listened to many other bands, there were no bigger influences on my young, impressionable life than these three albums. 40 years later, I can safely say that that Fireball is the only one I listen to with any regularity. Rock on, Jon Lord! Rock on in the Hereafter and tonight I raise my glass to you.
Mad Mike
One of the great rock keyboardists. Others may have been more technically skilled and flashy, but Lord laid down some phat, tasty tracks. RIP Mr. Lord.
