Springfield
I suppose you could say that I'm guilty of choosing the drive-thru over a short line inside on occasion, but it has nothing to do with sitting down. I listen to my favorite podcasts when I'm in my car, so unless the difference between the lines is really huge, I'd rather spend five minutes waiting in my car while listening to a podcast than three minutes waiting inside while listening to other people order. Plus... you can't perform "the maneuver" if you go inside.

Springfield
"The maneuver", as popularized by radio show and podcast The Big O and Dukes Show, is the act of going through the drive thru of a fast food restaurant wearing no shirt as to expose the employees to the many rolls of fat that the upper garment would naturally hide. Thinking Skins
Sedentary lifestyles, and education per the original thread title, are the problems. nah, its the internet. Nobody wants to talk to anybody else any more. People rather FB and Twitter and IM (do people still do that?) than really talk to people. ---------- Post added August-27th-2011 at 07:17 PM ---------- So I'm pretty sure Drive-Thru windows are what is wrong with America today. Are people that lazy that they can't get out of their car and go inside the place? I was at Chick-Fil-A this morning and the drive-thru window was about 15 cars deep. So I go inside and there were 2 people in line in front of me. Why didn't people just go inside? People are too lazy today that they would rather wait longer in their cars and sit on their fat asses than get out of the car and not have to wait. please don't knock chick-fil-a. This example woulda been cool if you had said Mickey Dees, Wendys, Burger King, Hardees, Krystal or any of the others, but Chick-Fil-A? C'mon? Kosher Ham
The only time I go to the drive thru is when the inside is closed and they only have drive thru available. I go to a McDonalds every now and then that always has a line around the building at the drive thru yet always only 2 or 3 people at most inside. Same goes for a local Dunkin Donuts. Time is money, I would rather get my food and get out. Sitting in that line is almost always longer.
