essex03
Anyone know where I can find the pregame speech where Gibbs is talking about "it starts with teams...", and ends with, "lets earn this thing today!" Been looking but cant find it...

Now, who was it that said "There's a lot of great thing we could be doing today, and the best one is kicking their ass?"

BTW, Gibbs speech is in here.....
scruffylookin
What's so funny about that speech is when Gibbs says "every swinging guy" instead of "every swinging ----" Classic Gibbs.
thebluefood
Wow...in the month of September, the 'Skins didn't have a single point scored against them at home. That's incredible. Yet, you never hear about that 1991 team.
2cents
I don't care what anyone says. I've been watching football since 1970...that is one of the best teams ever, and not just because they were my team. That team had NO holes whatsoever. MustangSteve
They were #1 across the board, offense, defense and special teams. The most complete team to ever step on the field.
2cents
Oh but remember we only won because Cunningham got hurt in Philly and Montana and Young got hurt in San Fran......yes I've heard that said.
Hdf561
One of the best moments in my life was the 1991 season ans superbowl win....Im only 29 so I was a kid when it happend but I remeber my dad buying the lighters every week while they were still undefeated....it was my greatest time as a football fan and I was technically alove for all three superbowl wins! SonOfWashington
Wow...in the month of September, the 'Skins didn't have a single point scored against them at home. That's incredible. Yet, you never hear about that 1991 team. I guarantee if one of our losses (both 3 points or less) were wins, we'd hear a lot more about it. 15-1 is a lot better than 14-2. 2cents
And we were up in the closer at Philly when Joe pulled the starters because the Eagles in their always classy ways were talking about how they wanted to hurt as many of our guys as they could to keep us from winning the Super Bowl. hail2skins
Yet, you never hear about that 1991 team. Doing a search of "best NFL team of all time", on the first page I get lists that have the '91 Skins ranked at: #4 http://espn.go.com/page2/s/list/football/teams/greatest.html #8 http://www.the-top-tens.com/lists/top-nfl-teams-of-all-time.asp #4 http://bleacherreport.com/articles/371657-the-25-greatest-nfl-teams-of-all-time-super-bowl-era #4 http://www.watchmojo.com/top_10/lists/sports/football/football_nfl_best_teams_all_time.htm #6 http://www.bukisa.com/articles/183742_best-nfl-teams-of-all-time-top-10-greatest-football-squads-counted-down So, I don't get where this perception that the '91 team is disrespected comes from. I personally think that the '91 Skins team was the best of Gibbs 1.0. However, I believe the '91 team tends to be a little more forgotten about among Skins fans in comparison to the other Gibbs I teams because we didn't have that signature victory on the way to the SB. The '82 team had the NFCCG win against the Cowboys. The '83 team beat the 49ers in the same round. And the '87 team beat the Bears in Soldier Field with the memorable Darrell Green punt return. Atlanta and Detroit? Not so much. Of course, the Redskins could only play who was in front of them, and beat those teams in pretty convincing fashion. And when they did make it to the Metrodome, they did play a Bills team who was making a repeat appearance and would make two more after that. And laid waste to Buffalo. I'm not a big hockey fan, but its interesting in light of the current excitement surrounding the Caps. If they do go on to win the Cup this season, it will be memorable just for the fact that it'll be the first championship for the team. However, I think it'll be all the more sweeter if you get to beat longtime rivals like Pittsburgh and Philly along the way instead of, say, Montreal or Buffalo.
