Die Hard
http://www.footballnewsnow.com/2009/nfl-team-contacts-tony-dungy-about-coaching-return/ NFL Team Contacts Tony Dungy About Coaching Return By Chuck Carroll Football News Now Staff Writer December 11, 2009 Tony Dungy Tony Dungy Tony Dungy was contacted by an NFL team on Thursday about taking over as head coach, but isn’t saying which team it was. During a Friday morning appearance on The Dan Patrick Show the ex-Buccaneers and Colts coach dropped that little nugget, but added that the Buffalo Bills were not the team that contacted him. Other possibilities include the Washington Redskins and Kansas City Chiefs among others. In the past Dungy has stated time and again that he is not interested in returning to coaching. Interestingly, he volunteered that he was not contacted “directly” by Notre Dame. PFT wonders if he was “indirectly” contacted by the university. MattFancy
Dungy would be a pipe dream at this point. I think he likes what he is doing now. If he came here....WOW!
dsciambi
If Snyder gets Dungy, it'll be another year of offseason champions!

Hunter_R
:rotflmao:Followed by regular season champions Dungy doesn't have Peyton Manning to get him another ring. Hell, he only managed to get one even with him.
ThePreciating
Dungy doesn't have Peyton Manning to get him another ring. Hell, he only managed to get one even with him. Dungy built a Super Bowl team around a great defense with no offense. (Yeah Gruden won it, but it was Dungy's team.) Remind you of anything? Taylor 36
:rotflmao:Followed by regular season champions Nope. Dungy is a decent coach, but he is not that great of a coach. Take away Peyton, who was there long before Dungy, the Colts don't have squat right now. Plus, how is that team doing now that they have to go on without him?The Redskins need a coach to light a fire under their asses and kick some butt. We have too many over-paid, spoiled players on our roster. Sure we can dump a lot of them, especially if 2010 is uncapped. However, this team needs a change of attitude, a change of outlook. Dungy isn't that kind of a coach to bring the fire here.
SemperFISkins
Wonder if this, if true, complies with the Rooney Rule?
