Popeman38
Those guys were hired to be head coaches not play callers. Zorny was hired to call plays.Andy Reaid was the playcaller on the Eagles.
joejccva71
The REAL question is will Zorn and Sherm let JC change a play at the line of scrimmage if JC doesn't like what he sees on defense? Thats the question of the day.
StillUnknown
Well Zorn isn't the first head coach in history to NOT be a playcallerThere are plenty of things for a head coach to do on sidelines in managing the game, keeping the team energized and organized, and being aware of 4th down punt/go for it type situations zorn: "stay medium"
Rumple_Stiltskin
yall act like this is the first time we had a coach he didnt call his own plays......or even the first team who has a coach who doesnt call plays. There are plenty of teams out the who have an OC and a DC....

nebster21
He will be doing the same as 26 other coaches do. He will be leading the team. 26 other coaches do not call the offesive plays why should he be any different.
scruffylookin
He won't even be part of the play calling its Sherm and Sherm. Okay but is that normal? I think if a head coach wants to overrule his playcaller in a given situation he can and does. I'm just wondering if Zorn has this power or not. da#1skinsfan
Comparing this situation to other coaches who don't call plays is ridiculous. Its Zorn's offense - I'm not saying its good, but its his offense. He's only marginally involved in the defense. Deciding what to do on 4th down realistically come up once or twice during the game. Calling timeouts can come up six times during the game. Coaching up the players? Be serious! His only job is to save something of his masculinity by looking dignified during the game. It's not "Zorn's" offense its the same old WCO that other teams run with a few spins on it based on personnel. Zorn did not invent this offense. If anything, one could argue Sherm Lewis is more equipped to handle this offense since he has SIGNIFICANTLY more experience in it than Zorn. It's not "Zorn's offense" as you are implying. Bottom line, people are acting as if now that Zorn isnt calling plays he isnt doing anything. As per the majority of other nfl head coaches, he is being a head coach while his offensive coordinator (or in this case "consultant"), who is well versed in the exact same wco, is calling plays. da#1skinsfan
Andy Reaid was the playcaller on the Eagles. He shared those duties with Childress and shares them with Mornhinwig as well.
