Looks like he got an extra $750 on top of his slotted signing bonus. Says we should have all three in on time for camp. I guess we'll hear about the other two tomorrow.

Redskins Come to Terms With Seventh-Round Pick

By Mark Maske

Quarterback Gibran Hamdan, the Washington Redskins' seventh-round draft choice in April, agreed to a three-year contract with the team today. He becomes the first of the club's three draft picks to agree to a deal.

Hamdan's deal is worth $942,750, including a signing bonus of $32,750 and league-minimum annual salaries of $225,000 this year, $305,000 in 2004 and $380,000 in 2005. Hamdan, from Bishop O'Connell High School and Indiana University, is slated to compete with undrafted rookie Brad Banks in training camp for the Redskins' No. 3 quarterback job behind starter Patrick Ramsey and veteran backup Rob Johnson. He impressed Coach Steve Spurrier and other club officials in a pre-draft workout for college players with local ties.

The team reports to training camp on Sunday at Redskins Park and begins practices Monday morning. Club officials are confident they also will have deals in place to have their other two draft selections, second-round wide receiver Taylor Jacobs and third-round guard Derrick Dockery, in camp on time.

Do you ever wonder if the Times deliberately gets fed bogus information? The attacks by Dan Daly on Dan Snyder have been particularly out of proportion from the month after he took over as owner. He calls Snyder names and uses a particularly insulting tone in articles about him. Hence... the Times usually comes out with egg on their faces. Sound plausible?

There's probably something to that. Just a little misinformation, some subtle misdirection and the Times runs with it.

I guess ham n cheese didnt want a four year deal and the skins dont want to develop a guy that shows flashes in 2k5 and gets snatched up in the offseason.

Signed in time to play in the 3rd or 4th quarter of preseason games against Banks
