The Chiefs said head coach Todd Haley would address Gailey’s status with the team after Monday’s practice. The Chiefs had retained Gailey when Haley was hired in the offseason. The team is heading into the 2009 season with big questions about its offensive line, and the health of quarterback Matt Cassel(notes). Cassel was injured in Saturday’s preseason loss to Seattle. Redskins:Victory_or_Death
The KC Chief's season is getting off to a wonderful start And yet they are still glad they aren't the Broncos or the Raiders.
hoskins
Wow, they've got a brutal start. Cassel may be out 2-4 weeks. New OC 2 weeks before the season. And then their schedule! @Baltimore Raiders @Philly Giants Cowboys @Redskins Chargers So Cassel comes back to play the entire NFC East back to back. From Osi and Tuck to Haynesworth and Orakpo. Ouch! We're used to facing our nfce brethren every season, but man, for a team outside of our division to get all of us lined up like that...they've gotta be peeing themselves just a bit

I wonder what (who?) they'll have left for their division game? 0-7 is definitely a possibility. But I"m really hoping they manage to pull of 3 wins against NY, Philly, and Dallas. Braxford
I am surprised that they kept Gailey around to begin with. Wow, four straight games against the NFCE...yikes.
pvkeeper19
Things are looking bad in KC. Could we see the second coming of the '08 Lions?
GhostofSparta
If San Diego doesn't win the AFC West after looking at what's happened in Oakland and Denver, while looking at what KC has coming (that schedule sucks regardless of who is QB) then they need to be relegated to the CFL.
