twa
Dodd did the responsible thing by listening to the Treasury officials who recognized both the legal and practical need for these bonuses if this idiotic bailout is gonna work. Not sure why he would attempt to deflect credit,or why the Congress that approved this plan has changed positions. They couldn't possibly be playing politics:silly: Chasing away talent from a company you just bought 80% interest in :chair:is a bit foolish don't you think? As is not trusting the advice of the Treasury officials you entrusted with hundreds of billions of dollars.

Why would we want to chase those brilliant people away? :whoknows: Come'on, you're bright enough to know not everyone that got bonuses was involved in the mess. AIG is a big company and has many divisions that have nothing to do with that stuff.
gbear
and 90% of the company was making money. Want to get rid of them too? That would be like firing Marino or Fouts because their teams sucked.
