Kilmer17
Not should she be there, but will she make the cut.
codeorama
I don't think so, but I don't care either way. I'd hate to be the guy(s) that she beats though...
GB81
Too long, tougher, faster greens, tighter fairways, longer rough. And, she should be pretty nervous. I say she doesn't come close to breaking par in either round.
luckydevil
no, but I will be rooting for her
TennesseeCarl
Curiously enough, the better she does, the worse it is for the LPGA. If they think ratings and attendance are bad now, how will it go if the cream of their tour switch over to the much more lucrative men's tour? Will Michelle Wie make it on the men's tour? With her distance, probably. Take the top 4 female golfers - Sorrenstam - Webb - Wie - Pak - off that tour and you've lost most of it's luster. dchogs
will annika be hitting from the pro tees or the ladies?

riggins44
The media circus around her will hurt her concentration. This will cause her to miss the cut. If she was left alone I would give her a good chance of making the cut.
gbear
I thought Boswel had some good point on this. I'd bet she makes the cut. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A12743-2003May19.html?nav=hptop_ts
Brave
I don't see her being very close to making the cut, but I'll be pulling for her as well. Would be a great story.
codeorama
gbear, nice link.. that story puts her talent into perspective a little. After reading that, I think it is definately possible for her to make the cut, but I'd still hate to be the guy she beats. I think a better guage of her talent would be if she played in 4 or 5 events.
The Evil Genius
Personally, I would be happy if Annika just beat Mr. Waggles to a bloody pulp
Kilmer17
I'd pay to see that. Sergio waggles for the 18th time and Annika finally snaps and bludgeons him with a 4iron. PPV here they come.
Funkyalligator
Although I don't follow too much LPGA I do know that Annika is very capable of making the cut and perhaps even making the top 20. She can hit a ball farther than a good portion of the men on the tour and has very good accuracy. I don't really agree with her going on the men's tour but so be it. bccdc
This course is almost 500 yards longer than any of the LPGA tour events she has played. My guess is she barely misses the cut.
Jimbo
I would be very surprised if she shoots better than a 153 for her two rounds. That's a 77 and a 76. I don't think she has a snowball's chance in hell of making this cut. Teeing off from the men's tees on this narrow, unforgiving course will be her doom.
